wonder why the Wii version scored higher? im always hoping a good sonic game will come out and the 3.5 for the 360/ps3 version killed that dream, but maybe the Wii version in the one to get? whats the diffbigLLLThe levels are different, and there are no hub worlds or collectathons. Also, the daytime levels are less linear.
[QUOTE="SMR-Venom"][QUOTE="WAIW"]Wow, surprising. I was expecting a 5.Willy105Same. I guess the better framerate and relatively good graphics helped it. The controls are also good apparently. The graphics suck for a Wii game. Accordiong to the review man, not my own opinion.

Say that to Tom McShea.
His standards have been lowered.
Just look at this, from his own review!
Compared to his last game:
Not the first time it has happened.[QUOTE="Willy105"][QUOTE="AlexSays"]A multiplat scores higher on the Wii? I hope everyone sees this.AlexSays
So it's happened like 3 other times?
Yeah I still want everyone to see this.
I bet you have been waiting for this to happen :P I wonder if the same will with Shaun White for Wii compared to PS3/360.[QUOTE="finalfantasy94"]different reviewer=different opinion. Same happend on IGN.Willy105So the score varies almost 5 points for both reviews on both sites?
Hillary reviewed the 360/PS3 version which got a 4.5 while Matt reviewed the wii version which got a 7.2.

But it didn't happen here, with the same (bigger, actually) results.I am quite surprised that the Wii version did not get the "Annoying Characters" icon, even though all platforms did you the same cut scenes (e.g. a funny nightime scene between Amy Rose and Sonic the Werehog).
I am pleased with the better score for the Wii version, even though Sega could have created some Mazuri (Africa-like continent) stages in it as found in the Xbox 360 and PS3 versions.
I have it for 360 and Wii, because as a SEGA fan I had to, but also because they're different. With that said, I think the 360 version is superior. Reviews = nonsense. Btw, that Black Knight boxart is sexy, Can't wait for that! :)BioShockOwnzDo the platforming levels actually feel like old Sonic? Oh how bad are the warehog stages.
[QUOTE="MarloStanfield"]why is sonic holding a sword :(splinter-OPBecause SEGA and the Sonic Team hate us. oh yeah? well i hate them

The Hedgehog daytime levels are the closest that Sonic has gotten in 3D to touching the original Sonic games. There's areas Sonic has to go fast, and then there are also areas (not very many of them) when you slow down and jump around a bit, but just like in the Genesis games, where you'll have to go slow and platform a little bit. This really is one of the fastest Sonic games, but you're not forced like in the crappy speed stages on Sonic '06. You can stop, slow down, and whatever. Sonic & The Secret Rings and Sonic '06 both handled that poorly, imo, but Sonic Unleashed nailed it.
Onto the Werehog, it's either like it or hate it. Personally, I don't mind it. It's kind of like a mix between Ristar and Crash Bandicoot. I don't think it's as good as the daytime stages, but the Werehog is certainly not bad, just different. I must say that sometimes the camera can be clumsy with the Werehog, though, but it's usually only when breaking down a door to find hidden goodies in a building. The mainly linear pathways usually provide a good view of the action.
My 2 main complaints are that the camera can sometimes get iffy and the framerate can dip to 20fps or so in some areas, but neither happen a lot, and still, they're pretty minor overall.
It's not really the rebirth of the franchise, but it's getting there, and if there's a version with the same level of polish in the daytime stages, and it's 100% daytime stages, without the hub world filler stuff, I can see SEGA hitting it out of the ballpark next time. But you know SEGA, they always have to add these reject buddies in there. :P
I knew it all along, the other critics prefered the Wii version, maybe because it was developed by DIMPS(Sonic Rush games).mitu123
DIMPS did a much better job on the Sonic Rush games than on this Wii version of Sonic Unleashed, sadly. As an owner of the Wii and 360 version, I'm quite baffled by how one could think the Wii version is better. I mean, it's still good on the Wii, but the 360 version feels so much more polished to me. Maybe I'm a graphics *****. :|

So, the 360 version is better, I wonder why critics like the Wii version more.[QUOTE="SMR-Venom"][QUOTE="WAIW"]Wow, surprising. I was expecting a 5.Willy105Same. Crash Bandicoot you say, hmm well I guess I will rent and give it a try, hopefully it will be better than Sonic '06.[QUOTE="BioShockOwnz"][QUOTE="splinter-OP"] Do the platforming levels actually feel like old Sonic? Oh how bad are the warehog stages.splinter-OP

[QUOTE="Willy105"]Sonic Unleashed for Wii is a port of the PS2 game. The graphics show this all too well. It's a great way to compare graphics between a last gen game and an actual Wii game. Just look at Secret Rings and Black Knight.Lionheart08So i take it the PS2 version is better than the 360/PS3 one too. I may have to give it a rent then.
If you like more Werehog...
