so,NOW GS reviews doesnt count???

help me clear this up...

b4 the bioshock review came out everyone was like "GS review counts here"....

but then when the bioshock review comes out~everyone is like~"does anyone trust GS review??" and some even go as far as "im not come back to GS" IM LIKE....WTF??? is this how it is these days?????

another thing that happens is...

when a ps3 game comes out and scores low scores (yes,im looking at 1ups review of lair...) ppl are all using that review and bashing it.....BUT THEN~theyre the ones who said Gs's review counts here~!!!!!!

and i really do realize when a xbox360 game gets bad scores (blue dragon,im looking at u) all the LEMS go GS review counts here....

so seriously.....

will ppl either let other mag reviews count here.....or 4 god sakes don even use another mag review on this site because it doesnt count (as said by lems,cow,sheep,hermit(??do they count??) )~~

i honestly don really care...but it juz came to me like an epiphany (to those lil youngster who dont know wat it means..look it up on the dictionary)~so i juz felt like saying it out loud since i don think anyone has said this b4....

100 sites can give BioShock a 10/10, one site can give it a 1/10 and cows would use that as ownage. Lemmings and sheep would do the same.

Hermits believe all their games are perfection so I won't even bother including them

the same thing happens EVERY time a game does not score as high as predicted, without fail, 100% of the time

Does not matter what system ths game is on or even if the game truely is a complete failure...if it scores below predicted GS's reviews are worthless

Stop, all of you. Bioshock got AAA status, without a multiplayer campaign and a pretty annoying glitch...if that doesn't speak to the quality of the game, I really don't know what wiill.

Are we being just a weeeeee bit ridiculous about this?

That said, I think people have a right (just as many PS3 fans have done in the past) to voice discontent with GS' ratings of a particular game. I just don't think there's a whole lot to whine about when a game gets a superb rating. Good lord, guys.

The problem seems to be that it did not score 9.5 or 10...allowing one side to complain and the other side to think they "won"

personally i look at the reveiw to get a general feeling where the game is at, i mean for them to say DIRT is better than motostorm....NO JUST NO, i know motostorm lacked in sum things, but to say DIRT is better, thats discusting, so agian i look at reveiws to my own descretion

The GS review is the "official" score used here in these forums. Other reviews, imo, are used to gather a sense for a game. WHERE the review comes from matters just as much as the review itself. If a great 360 review comes from OXM, you say "that's nice to see, but I'll wait for the GS and other reviews". If aterrible 360 review comes from OXM, it makes you think that the game REALLY sucked if the official mag gave it a bad score.

You also need to look at many sources that are looking to give good review scores for their own purposes (to promote their mag or website). When Play gives a game a 9.5,you can almost guarantee to see that review score used in an upcoming magazine ad for the game. This is free publicity for the magazine. You need to look at those reviews cautiously.

Bottom line - only the GS reviews count as the "official" score of a game herein SW, butthe other reviews can provide a sense for a game (good and bad).

its how ppl tend 2 say GS reviews count but then they themselves are the one using other sites reviews(usually bad scores) 2 bash watever the game is...

That would not suprise me as all sides have been using crazy obscure sites recently as ownage

they are harsh on reviews so there reviews get overlooked when fanboys see a score they dont like.caz415

when GS gave bioshock 9.0 every lem on this board starts ignoring it and starts bashing it....but once again..this isnt abt bioschock...its abt how ppl tend 2 ignore GS's game reviews when the game they were hyping got a lower score than they expected...AND THEN BACK AGAIN come the old reviews....

i bet if HS gets a 8.5 lems will use GS as a bashin weapon and then cows will ignore GS's review and use the old reviews which gave em a higher score....but i doubt HS will get lower than a 9.0...i hope...

First off I just wanna say, these Bioshock fanboys are really getting out of hand. even worse than the LoZ fans when TP got an 8.8. Seriously, you're a pretty sad person when your disapointed with a 9.

to the TC, people are hypocrites heck i sometimes am myself i try not to be but things happen, anyway everyone does it. But people should still link to other reviews because it gives an overall sense of the game its just going to get that game's fans to say wait for the gs review.

I know this forum uses GS scores to claim ownage (just look at Zelda: TP). In fact, i do too. However, when it comes to reading reviews to inform me personally whether or not i would enjoy a game, i tend to use others gaming sites, and especially IGN. GS reviews are unreliable and often go against what i think of the games i have played.

None the less, it is still fun to call games flops when GS burns them.
