But we the consumers would suffer due to lack of competition. I don't want that to happen. Think about things before you post.

Or............MS can buy out Sonys gaming division and liquidate the assets?
I hope your joking
.............. did you think before you typed that? never going to happen they would make less money that way since they would have to split the money unless they charge twice as much for everything.they would make more money because everyone with a ps3 and xbox would get it and then they would sell more from advertising it

they get liquidated offcourse :)
For simplicity's sake, why not just do MS? Sony would involve liquidating something like 15 studios/devs, while we could streamline the liquation of Rare/Lionhead/Turn 10. The speed would be hilarity. Then again, losing 15+ studios would be interesting to see on the interwebs.(Please nobody take me serious :( . I do wish MS had more internal studios, but I don't really know why Sony has so freakin' many)

MS is smart to downsize studious. In the long run with games looking better and requiring more money, MS wont eat up as much money with studios making games. Sony however, must pay and maintain every studio they own, which can be very costly. And with every PS3 game they make costing ridiculous amounts of money and will only go up with PS4.........Sony will realize that too many studious can be a curse.

Indeed they will not have to pay as much (not really going to debate your semi-joking points) and I actually somewhat agree with Sony having to pay way too many people, though I guess it's admirable they want to make so many games. However, unless they are practically slave drivers to their remaining studios and are saving money, and with games requiring more money as you say, how do they secure exclusives while saving money? Surely developers (well, most developers other than perhaps Kojima/Nomura/Itagaki) aren't going to keep a game exclusive out of the kindness of their hearts.Oh, and I don't think I got to welcome you back yet Ghost. Hope you make account number 7 (or 8 maybe?) a good one.

Yea but it could also be an advantage over the long run. For example ms has sold most of their studios which is a bad idea, considering that they have to rely on 3 party exclusives, which most of the time goes multi plat. And what is 360 left with? your answer is multiplats..

nope. As logn as MS keeps releasing first and gets a head start install base wise, they can easily woe 3rd party devs for exclusives, timed exclusives, and exclusive DLC.......just like now.

I dont think people buy consoles for dlc, and timed exclusives. But i do agree with you on realeasing a console first would get you a larger install base andthird party exclusives but i doubt it will happen again, considering sony will learn from their mistakes
