Sony and Microsoft will unite to make the Play Box

I know this will probably never happen but we can dream right. I am a die hard PS3 fanboy but I gotta admit that Microsoft is doing the best they can to please their fan base and they have some great franchises like Halo, Gears of War and Fable. They're not like the peice of **** Nintendo who are releasing garbage games and sequel after sequel and they're fooling the people with their waggle controllers.

Anyway it'll be amazing if the 2 company decide to make 1 console next generation, I mean imagine being able to play

Killzone

Gears of War

Resistance

God of War

Uncharted

Fable

Gran Turismo

Forza Motorsport

Project Gotham Racing

Ratchet & Clank

LittleBigPlanet

Banjo-Kazooie

Infamous

all on 1 system, that would be the dream console.

I personally think it would be great.

I think the two compliment each other very well, and share a lot of the same goals.

the issue is teaming up with Nintendo which i don't think neither Microsoft or Sony would mix well at all.

there would be no competition, the console wuld quickly tie up the entire console market.

And because there is no competition, they will make the console extremely expensive...

I still think there may be little competition from Nintendo. If you want to play your shooters, and more mature games you would go with Sony/MS. But if you wanted things more like Mario, you would go with Nintendo. These are two very different audiences.Deadly_Fatalis

It would really be EPIC. If Apple or Sega join the game industry then it might happen. If Nintendo runs away with this gen there's a possibility that Sony and MS would have to work together. It would be the ultimate console easily. You have Sony's magnificent hardware. MS's geniouses at software. MS could easily get studios to work with Sony and MS since MS is just rich. Sony would have already a great set of first party but if it does happen i'd expect MS to have a even better set of first party studios. It would benefit Sony's games a lot. WIth MS's power to really advertise games. I'd expect Halo and Killzone to get the same amount of media converage. Of course that's only if it happens.
