300 gb discs? ^^
lol, i will laugh when installs are required for gaming and load times for moves get even longer than the blu ray load times.
There's already 200GB Blu-ray disc and we've not even started using that. MightyMuna
Kojima will splooge in his pants just thinking about it.

and then say its just not enough to fit my game on then deliver a game using the 200 gig disc but only filling 105 gigs. They will always be relevant. Nobody is going fully digital anytime soonTwo companies trying to fight to keep physical discs relevant.

Only lemmings believe that cuz they're morons.
I was hoping we would stay with Blu-ray / Digital :(

Don't worry, it's going to fail. Blu-Ray already had a hard enough time trying to find a market while competiting with both DVDs and Digital. Any future physical format will be niche at best.

Lems said that MS would never need Blu-ray and that next gen would be all digital download....
Sorry, just tried to come up with an equally ridiculous straw man argument.
Most people just knew Blu-ray for what it was, more space. Apparently MS got the memo and has it in the XBO. ;)

i know they said the 360 didn't need blu ray.
Yeah when 4k Movies come out I doubt they will even use disks. If they do say good bye to pirates. No one wants to download a 70GB 4k Movie file.
I think digital streaming off a network is the way to go for 4k movies in the future, but even that will require a decent internet connection.

[QUOTE="DaBrainz"]Disc formats for gaming are going to be obsolete real soon.ramonnl
I like steam and all, but I still also like to have the games in my hands!
But i guess digital will force the discs out.

Of course, all fanboys make up stupid shit to try and justify one over the other
Basically nobody can stream blu ray quality movies right now. What makes you think that we'll be able to stream something that has 4 times the pixels?Yeah when 4k Movies come out I doubt they will even use disks. If they do say good bye to pirates. No one wants to download a 70GB 4k Movie file.
