Apparently you didn't read the article. It said if the PS3 does fail, not when the PS3 fails.

I like him. He speaks his mind, and doesn't give a ****. But there is a big difference berween "if the PS3 fails" and "the PS3 is gonna fail". Its people that can't make that distinction that make PR spokespeople lie and dodge questions.

If the CEO says the PS3 is going to fail, then IT IS GOING TO FAIL! Even the company that made it don't even like it so how do they expect other people to buy it?! Sony could of tried to defend their console, instead of just saying straight out that the PS3 is a failure. Maybe it wouldn't have been a failure if Sony didn't try to make it a multi-media powerhouse, and just make a great system for the developers and the consumer to enjoy their games on. I mean we don't really need Blu-Ray because I'm pretty sure most people are still watching DVDs.

Its funny how you guys are arguing over the semantics of the article. For a company that is suppose to be the dominating force of the industry, comments such as these should give you a little indication that things arent all rosey in Sonyland!!! The possibility of anything failing in your product line means you already know the fate of your product and only chance can determine if its really dead or not.

What happened to all the 4D, 120 fps, dual this, Blu-ray that?!?!? As each month passes, the PS3 is being chipped down to size and exposed as the faulty product it is and Sony is fully aware of this dilema they have gotten themselves into.....

So in a nutshell when you have Kenny K admitting the decline of the quality of Sony's hardware in combination of the CEOs recent comments, you should know the sh!t has really hit the fan....

Yes but it is the fact that he's admitting the possibility of failure that's the issue, Sony has been the number one for two gens so its a big theing that they are admitting the possibility

Where have you been since E3 05?!? The product on the market is no where near the product touted as the savior of the gaming industry at E3 05 (hell I would have bought the E3 05 version at full price!!!)....Everything about the PS3 is a complete lie with the only thing that remained the same is the sleek shell the console is housed in. As a gamer if you dont feel a lil cheated of the experience that was promised by Sony, then you should consider yourself a fanboy....And dont give me that "give it time" stuff about the PS3 because it was suppose to blow the competition out of the water at launch, but it is currently underperforming on all fronts (hardware, software, and online)...

This gen Sony pushed out a broken system and everyone in the industry (including Sony) knows it. The only people holding onto the ideal of the dominate PS3 are the hardcore fans refusing to let go of that ideal regardless of all the facts presented to them....

Whoa? He said "if" though this must mean that he knows that the PS3s' audience is too narrow and small to compete with the Wii. Since I'm assuming that he doesn't work for videogames, he can see things from the more realistic perspective than Phil and Ken.
