Sony copies Nintendo (Again)...

Yes, I'm talking about all the new rage of the Firmware Brick. Why is it, that when it happens to the Wii, people make such foul comments such as the ones shown here, but when it happens to PS3, they try to rationalize why it happened and try to come up with excuses for why it happened, shown here?

Look at the comments and notice the difference in the way people bash in the Wii one versus the way people make excuses for the PS3 one. Some of the same people commenting on the same problem, two completely different ways. I really want to know what you think about this.

I personally don't like that it happened to either system because they're both great systems and it's the combo I own PSWii.

Fans of one system will perform "Damage control" if something goes wrong with their system.

So true. Damage Control does come out when their system of choice gets impacted. Especially if it's with the same thing that a competitor got hit with.

all console repair should be free - $50...

you paid for their product in the first place...

I can't wait for YLOD/DRE to become widespread.

Have you ever had a bricked system before? Never said you don't have the right to make this thread, but again if it's never happened to you I don't see why your opinion matters, just like those people who were defending/bashing in response to the story.

You go to the forums and then go to the comments below any news article. You'll see the rather astounding difference.

The Wii is THE system to hate, anyway. And, yeah, it was damage control.

This thread is gonna come up when Sonys "wand" comes out.....its basically the wii remote for ps3 IMO
