Sony Deserves respect coming from a lemmings perspective.

The Sony ps2 launched with a dvd player, and the ps2 was made dvd players affordable because if you got a ps2 you were essetialy getting a cheap dvd player which were expensive for its time, the ps2 then sold 115 million and made everybody own a next gen format, because i know the ps2 was my first dvd player. The ps3 then comes out with a new technology called a bluray player and this is a hi-def format that can hold tons of space and give you brilliant movies and awesome games, Sony knew bluray players were 1,000 dollars when they came out so they wanted everyone to own one with a ps3 that would essetialy be a cheap 600 dolllar blu ray player and game system, now i think this is an awesome idea, i dont own a ps3 because its to expensive for me , but i hope to get one soon this year, but sony is only trying to get out a new next gen format with thier succesor the ps3.im sure the ps3 will take off in sales when a price cut comes, because people know the playstation family offers a wide variety of game genres that get enough attention to sell well to get a 2 or 3 or even 4th version, and sonys first party is nothing short of brilliance.xjet039

People have to remember the 360 and Wii would not be as good if Nintendo/MS were'nt scared of Sony. And understandably so - PS3 is shaping up nicely, just needs a lower price.

Very well said TC, couldnt say it better then that. I own both a ps3 and an xbox 360 and I think because of that I have the best of both worlds, and soon when there are any wii's in stores, ill get one, but right now gotta love the games in HD on my 42 inch lcd in 1080p. :)

 First off, I'm not a lemming, but thanks for looking at my sig. Second, Xbox has made online gaming standard. Just look at how Sony is trying to play catch up. Lets also not forget how they take PC genres into consoles for example FPS and soon to be RTS, which BTW is already starting to kick into full gear with the recent release of C&C3. back in your hole !!! Take into consideration the time the Xbox has been out compared to the other 2. Don't hate because Xbox kicks ass

Amazing how we all have facts that all company's do lie sometimes but we like to point out the company that has been successful the last 2 gens and brang us the best library of games these last 2 gens and we get comments like this blaming them? Well u do know that there are ppl that do enjoy buying HD players right? He might be one of those ppl, and why not buy a ps3, so far since launch the hardware is reliable unlike the xbox 360 and like I said it is a bargain if u really look at it and want an HD Player, and the TC see's that and is making good use of his money, because not only will he have an HD Player, he can also enjoy the best games for the xbox 360 and the ps3, which a owner of only one system couldnt do, so he is smart if u ask me, and the reason I gave him props for this thread is because I own both systems, and I am enjoying both worlds and understand where he is coming from. So I guess u need your eyes washed out, lol. :P

Ok either console maker would'nt be as we know it if it was'nt for 2 out of the 3 in every matchup. If anything they are scared of each other... MS launching early had to have put sh*tloads of pressure on ninty and sony. Sony releasing later gave them the technology advantage is a worry for MS.. ninty as well because they don't have the finances that either MS or Sony has..
