Sony Disputes Microsoft's Black Friday Sales Statement

Sony is disputing Microsoft's statement about the ratio of Xbox 360 to PS3 sales during the week of Black Friday. Here's what Kimberly Otzman, a Sony spokeswoman, said to Todd Bishop of seattlepi.com:

"It's (Sony Computer Entertainment America) policy not to disclose our unit sales numbers until NPD numbers are officially released which will be December 13th. However, I can assure you that Microsoft's estimates of our PS3 unit sales numbers are way off and they did not outsell PS3 2:1 during Black Friday week

wow thats some news. first you mention how mgs4 is coming out for the 60, but now they outsold 5 to 1. hazzah happy dance parties like its 1452.

Chances are the 360 did outsell the ps3. The ps3 has yet to outsell the 360 on any given month since it's launch.

The 360 is dominating the ps3 as much as the wii and ps3 are dominating 360 in Japan.

Maybe because Sony released their numbers two days ago. It's called extraplolation. If Sony sold 320k from the beginning of November through Black Friday, and the 360 sold 310k during just the Black Friday week, one sees that for that one week alone the 360 outsold the PS3 roughly 2:1.
