Sony Drops PS Vita Memory Card Prices

Sony's website has dropped PS Vita Memory Card prices across the board, thus addressing one of the most important issues with the system. Whereas it is not yet known whether the drop is permanent or just a holiday season deal, the new prices are a bit more reasonable (although still unbelievably overpriced, considering a Class 10 32 GB SD Card can be had for $23 on Amazon).

The new prices are as follows:

PS Vita 4 GB Memory Card: $12 (down from $20)
PS Vita 8 GB Memory Card: $18 (down from $30)
PS Vita 16 GB Memory Card: $36 (down from $60)
PS Vita 32 GB Memory Card: $60 (down from $100)

The discount is applied at checkout, so don't panic if you see the prices listed as higher! (thanks Slashkice!)

So yeah... still obscene, but not as obscene as they used to be.

memory cards are one of the reasons I wont get a vita ever and one of the reasons its failing, the standard is micro sd at this point there was no reason not to use this format.
I have many micro sd cards floating around and it would be far easier to just have a standard format.

Yes, yes it does. Vita has good PS3/Vita ports, good games like Uncharted Golden Abyss, Gravity Rush, and PS1 classics like FF7, Legend of Dragoon, Chrono Cross etc....that makes it a better library than 3DS.

Nothing on 3DS can compete with portable FF7. That is my favorite game of all time. The Vita also kicks ass hardware wise too, the 3DS can't even do HD.

I don't believe that, but if true then no big deal, it still looks amazing and I can read it easily like it's in HD. And there are games on it that are HD and you can watch HD movies on it, so it's HD.

The 3D hurts my eyes on 3DS, I know there is a slider but for somereason the 3D effect bothers me. Also I hate the lack of second analog stick.

Why are you comparing the DS which is an older and far more established system to the Vita which is barely a year old?

If you're going to play that card, then here's my opinion on the PSP vs 3DS

PSP Libary>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>3DS

See the problem with your logic? The 3DS is a younger system, but if you're going to unfairly compare the Vita to the DS, then the 3DS needs to be unfairly compared to the PSP, which still has a stronger library.

The best bet would be to keep it Vita vs 3DS. The PSP and DS are established systems that are several years old. Comparing them to two handhelds that are still fairly new is not fair.
