Sony finally raises their price to $699.99 for the PS3 (CANADA)

Althought other stores like Futureshop and Bestbuy have increased their prices of the PS3 from $659.99 to $699.99 a long time ago, it was just recently (March 4th, 2007) that Sony decided to raise the price of the PS3 to match everyone else in Canada.

I just saw the Superstore (Alberta) flyer today and a PS3/R:FOM bundle = $720 (CDN) + GST = $763.20 (CDN).

Glad I bought a Wii for $279.99 (CDN) on launch day. lol have fun canadian cows.

 Sony says it because of the USD -> CDN exchange rate but its complete BS. At 699.99 (CDN) we are paying $50 (USD) more than our American counterpart. Its even worse for Europeans.

Its no big deal, the PS3 is already flopping in Canada. This is just more incentive to buy a Wii and/or 360.

We're not paying more then the Americans it's called the exchange rate.

As of right now the exchange rate is at $1.153 which is about $691.79 to be exact in canadian dollars and since the market flucuates all the time how is this B.S. The europeans dollar is worth more and they are paying more for I have no clue why but we aren't paying more here beyond the exchange rate
