"Hirai says that Sony needs to make sure they're absorbing feedback from users and incorporating it in the development of new products, further strengthening ties between users"

I'm quite sure rumble is not the only thing PSP/PS3 fans really want sony to address.

Where is Custom Soundtrack for PS3

When will Sony add BIG FEATURES for PSP that owners have asked for since day 1.

And many more request.

The new SDK kits already have the software or whatever that allows devs to put in custom soundtracks. And, Firmware 2.0.

Sony really cares about their customers.

Remember when the PS2 scratched discs and Sony replied "Our system doesn't scratch disks, people do"

Sony cares a lot.

I thought that was what MS said about the 360???

That is why MS is being sued by numerous people regarding scratched discs, right?

No, Sony did say that.

Microsoft said "Things break" Which is stupid, but not as stupid as blaming it on their customers.

MS is the one who has the disc scratch problems currently though. Trust me, I work at a video rental store, we have a disc buffing service, and about half of the discs are 360 games with DEEP DEEP circular scratches. They are VERY hard to get out, and it's just wrong.

Custom Tracks are up to devs really. I like my DS and happy for the games such as Metal Gear Ac!(underated even tho the story isnt as good as the canons, damnit Aiko),Metal Gear Portible ops(need to get that -.-),Final Fantasy Dissidia,Final Fantast 1 & 2,and mores stuff. Sony is actually trying to listen instead of thinking of its consumers as numbers xD! Keyword trying.

They are refunding the U$140 to everyone that had to pay for the warranty. That is the reason for the 1+ billion.

You gotta admit though that what Microsoft is doing is a lot better than what Sony did.

Microsoft is taking a huge hit for the repair costs, which is the right thing to do, and Sony tried to get away with it and blame it on the customerto save money.

Obviously you and I have different opinions on this. I believe M$ has a bigger problem with theirs then with what Sony had with theirs. As far as I know you yourself could fix the PS2, but you can't fix the 360.

They are NOT fixing the problem when the 360 comes back to people "repaired" and it still breaks! Its happened to many reviewers on blog sites and major gaming sites. How can you even ignore this?! Kotaku's just got their refurbished one back last week only to have it break down again!

This goes way beyond fanboyism, you really need to face up to it. MS ISN'T FIXING THE PROBLEM!! Fixing the problem is so the console doesn't break again. PS2's DRE problem was solved, and MS RROD is a lot more of an epidemic than that.

Stop trying to think that there's a parallel between PS2s success and DRE and MS' RROD.

Consoles breaking in the first place only hurt the console's quality status!!

I would like to be able to play music in the background while I look at some pictures and shop on the PSN. XBMC does something like this and better. Yeah, I hate the wait... it is just all talk.... I guess I have to be content with warhawk for now.

First of all, I'm not a fanboy, I've never owned a Microsoft console so stop assuming that.

Microsoft IS fixing the problem, just not very quickly. They are eventually going to release a new 360 that doesn't break. Sony NEVER fixed the problems on the PS2. Not only that, if your PS2 had problems, you had to buy a new one. If your Xbox has problems, they repair it for free.

I'll make a comparison:

Let's say I punched you in the nose. Which option would be the nicer thing to do:

A) Apologize to you, help you up, and give youa tissue for your bloody nose (What Microsoft is doing)

B) Laugh at you then walk away (What Sony is doing)

[QUOTE="thedarkomen"]They are NOT fixing the problem when the 360 comes back to people "repaired" and it still breaks!

Consoles breaking in the first place only hurt the console's quality status!!

sexy_chimp

Actually MS try getting away by doing B. But then a lot of people on the web complained and then they do A.

I would've actually bought a 360 if this wasn't the case. Who wants to buy a potential system that's going to break down, and going to get fixed, only to have to break 5 minutes later.

I don't care how many cool games it gets.

Now that is more fair statement to say about MS. In the meantime, until the RROD is confirmed fix either using the 65nm or soemthing else, I won't touch a 360.My 2 xbox (with no warranty) is more durable than a 360.

Uh, that's one PS2. There are people with Xbox 360's from launch that still work, does that mean it's a reliable piece of hardware? No.

It is not that THINGS BREAK, it is just that it breaks too soon compared to other similar electronics.

hey now lets not forget about "DISK READ ERROR"

MS at least acknowledged the problem and compensated for it while Sony ignored it until it was forced to own up to the problem, in this case, i'll take the lesser of two evils

WellIMO, the ps2 is better quality vs a 360. Unless you plan to giveor buy me a 360, I won't touch it until RROD is confirmed fixed. If the RROD was happening to ps3 or wii, I would avoid those too but it is not.

MS has a 3 year warenty. I hear all the time that a persons 360 breaks they send it in and then it breaks again. and again.

So if this is true then MS system is only going to last 3 years from when you bought it. And then your going to have to pay another 360.

I have never had ANY of my systems break down and had them for more than 3 years!

Just to be fair. MS did ditch the xbox. Hopefully it won't happen again with the 360. Good luck people.

I do notbuy launch stuff. I actually wait till the reports are all in before buying. As for this gen, ps3 fits what I am looking for. Quality, variety, dvd (yeah, I don't have a standalone dvd player except for the one in my laptop), graphics, free online gaming, 3 consoles for the price of 1 (BC), The only bad was the games (number of games that are already out)and price. But that should change in the next 4-6 months. We'll see....

Hopefully "enough" people will complain again and they would "hopefully" but "not willingly" give everyone a 4 year warranty instead.
