[QUOTE="Redfingers"][QUOTE="limpbizkit818"][QUOTE="Redfingers"][QUOTE="Yuck_Too"]Somethings are just better on specific platforms.
UT on PC is one of them.

At this point I take the time to ask you why. Mods: no longer PC exclusive. In fact, let's say you make a map personally for UT3 on PC. I DL it from Modplanet or whatever, throw it on my flash drive, and play it on my PS3. Pa-pa-pwned.
The visuals are the same, and you can buy the FragFX controller and get the exact same control scheme you would on a computer with keyboard.
First off, that's not for mods work for the PS3. You download them from the PS Store, and since they do not want people hacking/giving virus to the PS3 I am sure they will have to be screened by Epic before they are put on the Store. Second, why even talk about UR3? It's coming out on the PC at the same time so it is not exclusive. I see Sony fans all the time bash and not count 360 games that are also on PC but now for whatever reason UR counts? And I can't believe you said in your other post the PS3 controller is better then the 360's for shooters. Only totaly blind fanboys or someone that has never played a 360 would say that.
Sony says: we support open source, and we love user-created content. Epic is a notorious supporter of user created content.
Solution to console downloading issues: grab a USB, throw it in your PS3, and download any PC mod on the planet and play it. No scanning, no issues, no nothing. Stop making BS up.
Let me revoke that statement. UT3 is not timed exclusive, that's from the lips of Sony. UT3 is simply not on 360 this year, end game.
I've played a 360 and the I prefer the Sixaxis. Does that mean I'm a fanboy? No. I've been playing on this pad for over ten years. Maybe I just have an affinity for it, maybe I'm just familiar with it. Does that mean it's better/worse? Who knows. I'm just invalidating that absolutely baseless argument. Familiarity is a plus, as well, for the millions who owned a PS1 or PS2.
Plus, give the controller argument a rest already. Frag FX is the solution, period. Frag FX is not available to the Xbox 360 and it is presumably better than the 360 pad.
*sigh, shakes head* I make stuff up? Sony said right in the conference that the mods are avaiable through the PSN, nothing else. Unles you have a link that conferms your USB clam, your making it up. Again UT is not a PS3 exclusive, it's on the PC AT THE SAME TIME as well. For some reason its fine to bash/not count 360 games (like how many clam Gears is no long a 360 exclusive) because they are on the PC but it's fine for the PS3. Heck you are trying to to say the PS3 has better shoots and you use 2 multiplatform titles and one game that's not coming out untill 2008.
"Aside from the PS3 version looking to be on par with the PC version, the other key thing to know is that the PS3 version of the game will have support for mods and other user-created content, in a way that sounds like it will be a first for consoles. Mods built for the PC version will work on the PS3 version of the game. Right now, Epic is testing this functionality by copying the content onto a memory stick and then copying that to the PS3 hard drive, but they're hoping to get the PC removed from that equation and make mod and map downloading a part of the PS3 version. To speed up loading overall, the game can be completely installed to the PS3 hard drive, but you'll still need to have the disc in the drive for copy protection purposes."

As a note, I believe I linked this already. Maybe not USB, but memory stick. I misread it. Still, same basic content. This article says that they're attempting to localize mod downloading instead of using the PC as a component in the process as they have to do now. This means that PSN is hardly involved in the current state of the game.
