Sony has the better devs

Which is why there where many great 1st party games on the ps2. So why would any one doubt that the ps3 would eventually have the better games when they have the best devs working for them which have already proven them self last gen..

Since MS does little to no in house work, and Nintendo just does rehashes it isn't hard to beat. Yes sony devs make some great games, but looking at the competition it isn't hard. They're still a noche below Bioware and Blizzard but getting there with Uncharted.

This is true. Sony has the best first party, they've been pumping out quality stuff; alot of them new IPs.

Sony also had the largest userbase, cheapest console and earliest launch date over Nintendo and Microsoft last generation. Suffice to say, things have changed.

That said, I'm having trouble of thinking which amazing Sony first party games this generation are beating out heavyweights like Blizzard, Valve and Bioware.

Which is where there where many great 1st party games on the ps2.

Yeah. I don't think you'll get much debate about that. Sony's first party work is perhaps their biggest advantage in a world where 3rd party multiplats are the norm.

Nintendo has the best first party hands down, no contest. The only reason why 360/ps3 have a much better overall library is because of its much larger and much better third party library.

I dunno, MLB The Show is down right impressive.

They certainly had the best first party games on the PS2, which makes you wonder what the hell those same developers are doing on the PS3 - instead of Jak and Ratchet we get **bleep** like Resistance.DJ_Lae

We get both ratchet and resistance, and both are good. I agree though about jak. IMO Jak and Daxter>Uncharted

Even though it's the same old plumber, its fresh and fun every time (i'm talking about the main series, not all of the mario sluggers/strikers/olympic etc junk). Twilight Princess is one of the most amazing games I've played this gen, and it had some of the best dungeons. Super Paper Mario is an extremely original platformer/rpg hybrid. I could go on. I'm not trying to defend the wii's library. IMO Ps3 and xbox360 have much better overall libraries, but Nintendo has got them beat when it comes to first party.

Relying heavily on your own self isnt as profitable as relying on third parties do make u some green.

Sony has the best devs in the business, no doubt about it, but MS has got great 3rd party support. The good thing is that a lot of third parties are finally trusting the PS3... except for one *Cough* *Cough*

Sony's 1st party destroys MS'. That is a fact.

Sony's 1st party is on par and in some cases exceeds Nintendo's first party, especially when it comes to new IP's.

They didn't let Twisted metal die. It started on ps1, had lots of ps2 games and they are bringing TWISTED METAL PS3 soon.

The amount of tips and teases they gave about upcoming twisted metal has been enough for me to know it will sure come.

I really think the competition isn't too high, either.
MS hardly has any devs and they're running out of exclusices. Nintendo has some good devs, but it's always the old stuff and nothing new.

Lets not forget Twisted Metal Mircosoft does the same with Crimson Skies, Mech Assault etc, but then we get crap crackdown, which we all know only sold because of the halo 3 betaLed_poison

Theres actually a new Mech Warrior game being made, and Crackdown is considered to be a great game by lots of people, regardless of the beta involved with the first game.

Nintendo's made a handful of awesome games this gen. (brawl, Zelda TP, and SMG) outside of those well established IPs they havent done much. So i definately agree Sony's 1st party is way better

yes, some of those are great games. but you're 1-2 gens behind...
