Sony has the largest amount of first party studios?

yep.... problem is most of them take much more to release games... exception are Insomniac & Naughty Dog which usually they stick to their deadlines...

Yea SONY's first/second party stuff is on par with Nintendo.

I mean they have - Singstar, Eyetoy, Resistance 2, Uncharted 2, Little Big Planet, Resistance: Retribution, LocoRoco 2, Patapon 2, God of War 3, MAG, Team ICO projects 1 and 2, Linger in the shadows, PixelJunk games(Racers, Monsters, Eden, Dungeon), New Japan Studio game, Fat Princess, Flower and more all in devlopment at the moment.

If SONY's world-wide-studios was to keep growing i think SONY would suffer from trying to spread all the good games out ... especially with devs like Team ICO, Insomnaic(2nd party), Naughty Dog, etc.

Sony makes solid IPs that are really good to play. ie. Ico, SOTC, jak series, dark cloud series, rouge galaxy.

I know but listed them since they mostly work on exclusive titles for Sony's consoles.. but you are right they are not 1st party devs..

that's because they are taking their sweet *** time releasing their games. I keep hearing about how wonderful Sony's 1st party stuidos are yet it's taking them years to get out games.

Sony has a ton of studio power. Which is why the idea that Microsoft has been publishing better 1st/2nd party games then them is actually shocking. For all intents and purposes it should be Sony competiting with Nintendo for top 1st party, but so far it has been Microsoft versus Nintendo with Sony a distant third. jg4xchamp

Both Team Ico and Naughty Dog are first party.

And really, Sony's first party teams have created some absolutely amazing games. I actually think they don't get enough credit because their IPs don't have 20 year histories.
