Sony in complete PANIC!!! PS6 coming in 2027. PS has no games and HW Sales are in the TOILET!!!!!!

Yes it's a fact Sony is a broke weak financially stable company and has been desperately trying to pawn off weak remasters and live service trash to Cows in an effort to not have to spend money to make lots of big budget first party games.

Now Sony is apparently likely going into full Panic mode now.

The PS5 hardware sales are way down from expectation and compared to last year and also the Protato 5 is a complete FLOP and sales are even lower then the Protato 4.

MS clearly been making the right moves in the past few years with Game Pass and play anywhere and MS is way ahead of the financial curve,. Sony can't compete with this and offer these services and turn profits like MS can.

Sony is now falling into a desperate Hardware Rut and they're starting to Panic and pushing up the release of the PS6 in a desperate move to try and entice hardware sales.

The PlayStation 5 dominates the hardware market, forcing Microsoft to release their games on PlayStation due to its overwhelming market share. No matter how many hours you spend on this forum or how many threads you post, that fact won't change. In 2025, being a dedicated Xbox platform user is unfathomable madness. You are aware that Sony has been discussing PS6 for a while now right? They even said PS6 was always in the works since PS5 arrival and not just Sony, but MS and Nintendo always said their next-gen is in development they release the current-gens. That being said, Sony already told everyone that PS6 is well underway before they release the Pro version. PS6 in 2027 is to be expected so not sure how Sony is in panic mode when this is just common knowledge how things work. The question is, how many games are in development for PS6 only?

Saying Xbox brand is a failure is an understatement and isn't the word. The Xbox brand is just not aggressive as it once was during the 7th gen. What's really been underwhelming from the brand is Xbox itself being everywhere and leaving the standalone console itself behind. MS is only interested in Software more than Hardware. I am curious as to how and when Xbox Handheld fairs better.

The failure I would go as far to say is the Xbox One was just a massive disappointing console IMO.

From what I know, the PS5 sells really well despite not having a great library. If PS6 gets games instead of Sony cancelling 15 live service games, I see no reason why PS6 wouldn't sell even better.

All Sony needs for their console is FIFA, CoD and some movie game, and they're good to go.

I feel bad the PS5 flopped so damn hard. The Switch being the champion by almost 3:1 is an embarrassment of a situation for PS.

Switch is small peanuts. Microsoft is the real winner here. Every Switch sold is another Xbox sold, just like every PS5 sold is another Xbox sold. The only way Switch can hope to compete is by putting their games on other platforms and turn those platforms into Switches too, otherwise all Nintendo is doing is just making more Xboxes.

Xbox is actually doing great set records for Game Pass Subs this past holiday thanks to BLOPS and as a whole MS and Xbox are going in the right direction with putting Xbox on everything and cashing in from everything that has Game Pass and Xbox and yes the Xbox division as a whole is currently profitable.

Record profits? Year over year Sony's hardware sales are down not to mention PSVR2 was a total flop and the Protato 5 is doing worst the the PS4 Pro did and that was a flop. It's no wonder Sony is canceling tons of games and not making an new big budget titles and trying to pawn off live service games and remasters to Cows to try and save money and their sinking Sony Corp ship.

Last night, I played the new Astro Bot level, wrapped it up, and jumped into Stellar Blade. Before, i was playing Horizon Remastered because i never got around to play it last gen, so no mate, you know absolutely nothing about me.

Meanwhile, Xbox and its multiplats? That’s for you to contemplate—wherever you feel like playing their third-party releases.

I might pick up Fable if it’s actually good, or maybe give Forza a shot when it’s dirt cheap. But Call of Duty? Starfield? Avowed? Yeah, no.

Microsoft is putting games on PlayStation because Xbox hardware is an absolute, undeniable, worldwide failure. Series X/S is closer to a Wii U than a PlayStation, and that’s just facts. Your narrative isn’t flying anywhere anymore. When Gears of War, Halo and Forza, all jump to the PS5, yeah, that doesn't do the Xbox hardware any favors because God of War, Stellar Blade, Astro Bot, Gran Turismo, Demon's Souls etc, won't be published on Xbox hardware. Playstation even, if they're publishing late PC ports, gets to keep it's identity, while the Xbox loses what little trace of an identity it had.

You realize that's the same amount of time between the PS4 and PS5 (7y), right?

Also equal to the amount of time between the PS3 and PS4 (7y), PS2 and PS3 (6y 8m) released faster than that by a few months, and PS and PS2 (5y 3m) was almost a year and a half faster.

Averaged out over all PS generations if the PS6 released late (Nov.) 2027 that would be 7 years and would actually be longer than the average 6y 5m (rounded up from 6.47) historically by 7 months.

Hypothetically assuming this holds true and by playing into that narrative if the PS6 does release in Nov. 2027 it wouldn't be surprising. However, something tells me they are eyeing 2028 (unless they are trying to compete with MS's new hardware), but that's just a hunch and doesn't fall in line with their history..

Either way, the point is that if the PS6 does release in 2027 it makes sense, since it's right on par with lengthening generations, diminishing returns, and overall longevity of cross generational boundaries coupled with the lessening of hardware and memory restrictions.

It's been confirmed that MS has already approved the new console hardware design and components. Dev kits going out soon.

PS5 did what it needed to do, 2027? so that makes for an approx 7 year lifespan which is about normal, presumably MS will have an offering around the same time, would make sense but ultimately if trends continue the big winner really could be PC getting the best of both console libraries, more functionality ultimately I wouldn't be shocked to see a statistically smaller overall console market as the next gen hits, the market will be that much older in terms of users and capable/comparable hardware should be that much cheaper.

Not really. In theory you could say best of both on PlayStation. But that's running on the false assumption that ALL PlayStation games are appealing to everyone. They're just not. It's actually perfectly viable to just be an Xbox gamer.

PlayStation exclusives are not so essential, everyone is missing out if they don't have a PlayStation. It's just subjective.

I already find it difficult getting into current gen gaming. And I find PlayStation games no more interesting than anything else.

The fanboy mentality is that PlayStation games are the best thing since slice bread. The problem is, then an outsider plays them expecting a 10 to match the hype because "WOW, PlayStation FANS SAID IT'S THE BEST, AMAZING", and because of the expectation from the hype, the games feel like a 7.

In reality, there's so many games now, it just doesn't matter where you play that much. Xbox, PC, PS, it's fine.

Everyone has seen this coming miles away.

Most PS games are totally lame. I could care less about playing a Robot Dinosaur game or a Survival game about LGBTQ issues or Spiderman not really interested or anything great here. The only game that is good or really worth playing is GOW.

And could also care less about Souls games if I want, I can play Elden Ring. Don't care about Ghost either I can just play SC Shadows soon if I want that style of game and for racing, I can Play Forza, so GT is not needed either and the rest are just trashy movies style games.

I can play tons of games and better versions or similar style games on Game Pass for much cheaper and tons of 3rd party as well and the Xbox controller is way better also.
