A 320GB hard drive and one USB port

I agree that PS3 is doomed. We all know people buys a next-gen console to play past-gen games.

I thought it was great. Usually my hype level is so high the first episode never meets expectations, but this one was hilarious.

The "stripped down" ps3 still has more features and is a better value than any other console. And they can and probably will add BC in a firmware update. Move on.

The spokesman for the tourette's foundation was stellar. His tic was the funniest part of the episode.

Honorable mention goes to Butter's peeing with his shirt up and his pants on the floor, again. First time I saw that (season 6?) I almost choked.

The 40 GB will be a huge driver of sales for Playstation 3 going forward this holiday season, despite Sony's contradictory positions. It is exactly what Sony needed to succeed.

All consumers are going to see is a more affordable ps3 and better games arriving. You really can't turn this into a bad thing. Companies change their tune and adapt all the time in business.

PS2 was overrated IMO. PS1 was alot better, if you ask me they've been going down since then and I figured they would just crash after riding that high for so long.

They were used to everyone licking the fungus off their feet for the past decade, once Microsoft and Nintendo came out with a bang in their own ways, Sony is left all confused and seeming highly hypocritical. Then the fanboys say "but thats what we want, they care about us!"

They can't rely on most sports games to push sales, because every EA Sports commercial has the Xbox 360 logo at the end of commercials. You can't rely on GTA to push sales, because people won't say "damn I have to get it for the PS3 because the 360 is gonna get it 6 months later and I don't feel like waiting."

Shooters are better on Xbox 360 than PS3. But PS3 has the edge in RPGs! Not really, with alot of Western RPGs and also picking up Japanese RPGs on the 360, it has the edge.

But through it all, Sony will win because well, it has the name Playstation on it and its gonna ride the success of PS2 which rode the success of PS1. Then also Sony has people believing that Blu-Ray is going to result in 90 hour games with ginormous universes 10 times the size of Mass Effect and a whole bunch of other garbage.

Honestly, now is the absolutly worse time to buy a ps3...I don't think there has ever been a worse time. Not only are the games still a little slow to roll in,there is a lack of clarity on the new controller and there is a lack of gaurentee that Sony won't won't roll out cheaper SKU's a month from now.

Why bother? It's not like the console itself is a huge reward you get for going through all of this. Sony is shooting themselves in the foot...and the TC has outlined the reasons why I've pretty much lost all respect for Sony this gen.

They aren't the only company that has adapted (lost confidence in their product). DS Lite , HDMI enabled consoles , consoles will bigger hardrives , etc. They all do it. Do we have to turn everything into a bad thing ? They built a great product and the one they wanted to build but it was just too expensive for people. They are trying to adjust to the market and I don't blame them. They are pleasing me and likely game developers and millions of other gamers with this move. I know fanboys of the other consoles will pretend to be outraged,but their damage control will futile.As a consumer , you jump in when the price , games , and features mesh with what you can live with and you must understand that something a bit better is likely to come along down the road at the same price or cheaper with any of these systems (even the Wii).

The funny thing is , my friend who has a ps3 didn't even realise that it was missing rumble or that the controllerhad tilty support until i told himand he early adpoted ,lol. He just shrugged his shoulders and said "no biggie "A lot of people are not going to care about rumble or b/c. And if they do care , they will have other options.
