Agreed, they are off to a good start, but honestly the gen just started and Sony has yet to really pull off a killer app. While MS is still struggling to shed the bad press and feelings they generated early on. If Sony can get it's butt in gear and stop relying on ND they might actually keep the lead.

I honestly was going to get a ps4 today but I called just about every major retailer near me and GameStop and their all out. That 4.2 million number would be a lot higher if people could actually find one.

I could get one from amazon but I'm afraid of it getting broken during the shipping process like people are saying on reviews on the site. I would hate to have to go through the process of having it returned.

When you consider it is a 1.5 months sales, it's pretty much spanking them for such a short sales period. If that continues Sony will be ahead 9-10 million consoles in just 1 year's time.

It's not really a spanking though, they're both doing well (both of them are breaking records). Especially given how it's only 1.5 months, we have no idea how this will turn out. Both systems have a great trajectory.

The good thing about Amazon is if it does break within 30 days, they will mail you out another one immediately. They do keep spare systems for returns. Then they get the UPS man to come to your house and pick the broken system up for the return. This is all done at no cost to you. I know because I have had to return things to Amazon more than once, and this is how they always did it.
