Lazy copy/paste from other thread.
Lame scenario would be those IPs becoming exclusive. Extra shit scenario would be those IPs following the Sony 1st party template.
But would rather take that risk than have those IPs sit dormant in the Konami basement. And if Sony picks the right people to head those projects, could actually turn out great.
MGS has always been a cinematic 3rd person series, so in a way it works. But where it separates itself from the pack is in its depth, replayability, and willingness to experiment. Even with all of its cinematic flair and overly long cutscenes, they were still very "gamey" games. Needs to retain that. I know the obvious answer is let Kojima go at it, just not sure if he'd even want to.
Castlevania, not even sure where to go with that. Just know I don't want more Lords of Shadow. Lament of Innocence was the only 3d CV I liked, but would prefer they go 2d, maybe get Igarashi on board.
Not well versed enough on SH or its development history, no opinion there.
Anyways, just sounds too crazy to be true.

The rumors say they planning to reboot Castlevania into bloodborne styled game.
That'd be cool. In a way, Bloodborne kinda felt like the 3d CV I always wanted.
If they took a faster, streamlined, almost more "arcadey" take on the Soulslike, go more vertical with the level design with a more agile player character, and full on CV style from the visuals to the music? Shit, sold.
