They still need to grow the franchise there first. With Heavenly Sword , they have something appealing for the God of War fans to sell systems to those people.

[QUOTE="alfy13"]hmm uh, why would they? there is more ps2 in ppl home then the ps3. DeiuosHe's saying that it would help the PS3 sells if it was on the PS3 instead of the PS2, I believe.
Right.

I'm glad they didn't. Because then I wouldn't be able to buy and play it for 50 dollars.fatzombiepigeon
Same here. I would have been pretty darn jelous of PS3 owners though.

Right.
I have no interest in Heavily Sword. I've never played a previous version so I don't know what I'm missing if I am missing something. GOW3 is a non-issue because that won't be out for years. They arn't even working on it yet.
they are not stupid cuz it would have gotten 6.5 on ps3.

You obviously havn't played it. I'm no cow but I have to give props to Sony for that game. It's awesome.

I bet you £10 that Sony are working on GOW3 but secretly, Sony started working on GOW2 once they finished GOW

Although it wouldn't be 6.5, he's right. To an extent. The PS3 has WAY higher standards, the game would have gotten lower even with up to date PS3 visuals and sound. Games are scored differently for each platform.

They do deliver. From time to time. I enjoyed a lot of Sony games. SotC is one of my favorite PS2 games.
I just beat it. It's a great game. But seriously what were they thinking by putting it out on the PS2? GOW2 would have definatly been a system seller if it had been a PS3 exclusive even without any enhancments to it.Firelore29
They need to make money. They can't sell enough copies on PS3 to do that. Honestly it was financially smarter for them to put it out on PS2. It took less time to develop. It cost less to develop than a PS3 game and it has a greater install base with PS2! So yes it would have sold PS3's not as many as you think with a $600 price tag.

Its not Sony's choice its the developers. Do you think they would put it on a console which has sold 2 million console or over 100 million.lucas_kelly
God of War is developed by SCEA. Would you like me to unabreviate that for you?

Not really. Many people have begun to talk about the PSP and how it may meet an early demise. It sold, but it's not going to last a long time, despite being a decent handheld.
They should of done what nintendo did with zelda tp, put them on both. Then ps3 would have an easy AAA for the system.Ryan0_1
That's an even better idea. They could have released the PS3 version a few months early.

the reason that its in trouble is that the japs like the ds about 300 percent more[QUOTE="Ryan0_1"]They should of done what nintendo did with zelda tp, put them on both. Then ps3 would have an easy AAA for the system.Firelore29

That move by Nintendo was quite cheap. They did right by giving more push to the PS2, it's not like the call it quits on past consoles like others do.[QUOTE="fatzombiepigeon"][QUOTE="the-very-best"][QUOTE="Nike_Air"]They still need to grow the franchise there first. no,but the reason why both are selling well (the wii and ds) is because of the new innovation they have involved, the psp went with just basics, despite the fact it can do movies and music, but so can all mp3 players nowadaysPlease Log In to post.
