Sony is the only Innovative one this Gen.

I feel that Sony is the only company that are being innovative and trying to be different with their games. Let's look at some games that are so different from others and not rehashes like Nintendo or just another shooter like Microsoft.

Does it matter? Innovation means nothing when the game itself is terrible.

Not that any of those games are, but people make such a big deal about being innovative, when it most cases it doesn't matter.

PC games have been doing what LBP is doing for years. Again not innovative.

That also contains an online community, that has a story, uses a game controller, you can play as you edit, has an advanced physics system, and the level editor might be able to be used by most of the public compared to other level editors which have some extreme difficulty.

PS: bright colours =/= innovative.

wii isn't innovative. changing the input method to phallic-shaped object waggling is no more than fap fodder for "soccer moms" to give their intellectually isolated children to prevent them from going outside (heaven forfend) and get some excersize.

PC as a platform for gaming, I love it and I don't want innovation in any way, keep it coming!

PS3 atleast has some innovative games. Nobody can argue that FLOW wasn't a revolution in creating a new genre of games, I'd say its as much a chill-out session over a normal run and gun kill everything point grab game. That's innovation, not just blatent technology-abusing hardware fads. The hardware is fine as it is we want different and new SOFTWARE!!!!!!

I haven't been following Afrika at all...but isn't it essentially Pokemon Snap without the Pokemon?

Also, I wouldn't call LBP "innovative", since it doesn't seem to have any new ideas - it's mainly just bundling old ideas into a new, more accessible package.

You haven't been on Xbox Live Arcade, have you? Flower and the EyeToy are the only innovative things on that list. Echochrome was also an innovative puzzle game. I had never seen a puzzle game like that before. That's about it though.

Fanboys are the worst kind of fanboy. At least lems have an actual argument. A cow will scream innovation and a lem will simply ask why did that innovative game not sell very well? A cow will scream sony won the NPD by 20,000 units this month and a lem will simply ask why are the PS3's software sales so crappy? A cow will scream Infamous, LBP, Resistance 2 and Killzone 2 are going to uber exclusives and a lem will simply say Gears 2 is going to sell as much or more than all of those games combined. It's always a losing battle for Sony fans. Millennium_King
