When it comes to comfort and common sense, Sony seem to lack those 2 things when designing hardware.

first being the DUAL SHOCK 3 controller, i don't have to explain the obvious FLAWS. (i will state that the DS2 controller is better)

second... the PSP, they got away with 1 analog stick at the beginning...now with the PSP GO, the device still has 1 analog stick and a MASSIVE d-pad (as if, the D-PAD should be the primary buttons, knowing how outdated it is GSUS!)

What is it with Sony and poor designs?

Even there latest Bravia HDTV's look ugly.

Yes this is opinion, but i'm sure MANY agree.

People who have problems with the DS3 are in the minority. I think it's nearly perfect. If it ain't broke, as they say, don't fix it. The design has worked for three generations now. The 360 controller is good, too, but I prefer the Dual Shock.

but thats the thing, it IS broken. Small handles, loose sticks, rubber buttons, poor triggers....want me to go on? Sure for the PS1 and 2 it was fine....but it's the fact that the DS3 went backwards and made worse. IMO.

The only thing that is bunk on the DS3 (and every playstation controller actually)is the loose analogs. They need to tighten up the analogs and if they can do that (why haven't they yet????) I will have nothing to complain about.

Overall, even with the loose analogs I still prefer the PS controller over the xbox.

Just because you don't like it means it's bad. You =/= Everyone And although more people seem to agree that the 360 controller is better for shooters, almost everyone I've seen agrees that the Dual Shock 3 is better for pretty much EVERYTHING else. Maybe all you play is shooters, and maybe the 360 fanbase is just full of shooter fans... but the PS3 fanbase is typically made up of people that play a wide variety of genres, not just shooters. And seriously man, stop freaking complaining. Almost every post I've seen from you ever has to do with something about you complaining about the DS3 and I know it was you... I remember that avatar because the kid in it looks a lot like this kid I used to think was one of the biggest d-bag's of all history. One of the first threads I saw from you you was just one big complaint about the DS3 and I posted a link to a controller you can buy for the PS3 that's almost an exact clone of the 360 controller but you ignored it and continued to complain. Therefore you immediately lost my respect and now you're still complaining so you're still losing it. Nobody's forcing you to use the thing, either buy the alternative I posted, buy an adapter that lets you use 360 controllers, or just stop whining.

I hardly use the analog stick on the PSP, so yeah, to me the D-pad is the primary button (buttons) on the system.

TC why would Sony add a second analog stick to the PSP go? It isn't like the PSP go is the successor to the PSP. As for the DS3 it is fine the way it is. My only gripe is that it doesn't feel as comfortable as the 360 controller playing FPS and TPS titles (which really doesn't bother me I tend to play shooters on the 360 and better yet PC).

What about Microsoft's handheld device...oh, no they don't have one.

Then what about Microsoft's HDTV...yeah, they don't have one either.

The reason Sony kept the DS3 mostly the same as the other DS controllers, it works and people actually like it.

And dual analog on PSP? Old news, everyone wants it. Wait for the PSP2. The PSPGo was not a PSP2 but more like a PSP-4000.

PSPGo uses the same games as PSP, therefore why would they add a 2nd analogue to the design, to further increase price and possibly force compatiblity issues with past games. If they do this in the PSP2 and leave out the analogue stick, then they mucked up.

I have no problems with the controllers.

can't argue with that. Tho the PS2 had it's fair share of hardware issues.

I went through four PS2's. They were the 360 of last gen when it comes to reliability.

So NOT true, can' t honestly compare the DRE to the RROD. RROD is much worse.
