The Protato 5 is not selling out. Just wait until the Protato 5 hits store shelves in places like Best Buy & Amazon, Walmart, Target, GameStop.

The Protato 5 will be collecting dust on store shelves and after awhile it's likely retailers will be trying to sell back to Sony to get rid of excess stock.

Sony will be lucky to break even on the Protato 5 after all the R&D cost to make the Protato 5.

PSVR2 & Protato 5 are total dumpster fires and then there's Concord with the $400million out of Sony's ass to put some stank on themselves.

I imagine Sony in some part didn't want any repeat of the early PS5 days when scalpers made it harder for people who wanted one to get one, so they keep a steady flow of pre-order inventory. That kind of hinders the optics of demand though. Most people will be fine sticking with the base PS5. Hell, half of all PSN users are still rocking PS4s.

New SCE leadsrship and all, I think Sony thinks this will change the trajectory for current gen adoption... no, it's not really going to pick up. Better usher in the PS6, it'll happen sooner than people expect. Releasing a PS5 Pro might do damage if they have to announced a new generation in just a couple years.
