Sony just ran a column of ads in Jeopardy

Left a pretty sour taste - I guess they own the show, but a whole column of "clues" was really ads for Ratchet, LBP, and even Destruction Allstars...

Sponsor the episode or something, run a PS banner across the screen, but don't blow a whole column of clues in the game on product placement

Pretty gross. Jeopardy has always been one of the more wholesome game shows of integrity and intelligence.

the fact you don't see the difference is not surprising. One is a marketing campaign and not disguised as something else.. the other is also a marketing campaign disguised as being a normal part of Jeopardy

I haven't watch Jeopardy over a decades as video games have now consume my time and truth be told, I kinda stop watching TV anyways.

TV is terrible. Since I have been in hotels as of late, TV is nothing but watching a stream of ads.

No. They/Sony produces/makes it on a Sony soundstage, but I believe someone else "owns" the shows.

1. Kotaku is terribly biased.

2. Yes, it's clearly a sponsored category, but this is a regular theme. No one throws a fit when an entire category is designated to Cape Canaveral or the Smithsonian.
