So while creating this thread you knew you were horribly wrong and wanted to be owned repeatedly?

I don't really care to be honest, I just knew the Cows would go into a frenzy if I said something negative about their precious PlayStation - and I was right, as PER.

Think about it; PS1 had it's massively over-hyped DualShock control pad (the N64's was far superior), the same goes with DualShock 2 .

I disagree. The Dual Shock controller was much more comfortable then the N64 controller. Also, Dual Shock has TWO analog sticks which makes FPS alot easier than one analog stick. Using the analog stick on the N64 meant that you had to hold the control differently by one hand holding the middle and the other hand holding the right hand side. This was very uncomfortable and made it feel unstable holding the controller.

Xbox 360 controller > PS2 controller > GameCube controller > N64 controller

EVERY Sony system has been massively overhyped for all the wrong reasons - graphics. What other video game company has named and hyped their consoles chipsets, even theirCONTROL PADS,like sony have ?!

Think about it; PS1 had it's massively over-hyped DualShock control pad (the N64's was far superior), the same goes with DualShock 2 . SONY made several claims about the superiority of the PS1 over the Saturn, whose differences were minimal at best.

The PS2's "Emotion Engine" (and the Toy Story graphics claim - LOL) and now the Cell/SixAxis/DualShock3 - all nicely named and overhyped so Cow's can run around with their crystal balls making outlandish claims.

What other company has ever overhyped their systems in this manner ?! I think it's abhorrent that SONY have to give electronic components moniker's to garner interest in their system because they ALWAYS under-deliver, yet fans of the PlayStation brand turn a blind eye to the fact that not ONCE have SONY come through on the hardware side.

Currently, Cows are running around consulting the bones and claiming the impending 2008 death of the Wii and 360 whilst completely ignoring the fact that the PS3 is a commercial abomination.

I think you will find that ps3 developed games really DO have excellent graphics...they just need better and more fun gameplay like ratchet and clank : TOD.

Oh right. yes. of course. I'll admit, they do overhype graphics in most cases, but games like Killzone 2 prove that the PS3 CAN do amazing in game graphics.

Cell isn't over-hyped. Any tech-savvy person who played R:FOM realizes the sheer power required to do some of the things in that game. Dual Shock 3? Over-hyped? WTF. No, seriously. Where's the hype? It's been stated, that, wait, it's having rumble. Hype? None. Sixaxis? Delivered. I'm honestly impressed with the technology in it.

The Dualshock for the PS1? I liked it better than the shoddy N64 controller. Dualshock for the PS2? Still liked it better than the GC controller.

OUR THE sony brought gaming to the masses

it was because of sony's sucsess that the xbox was concieved, microsoft saw a new way to make money. a pity halo was on the xbox, other wise microsoft would have failed as they should have.
