Sony answered the wishes of many gamers when they re-released the two PlayStation 2 God of War games on PlayStation 3. It now looks like God of War might not be the only series of PS2 games to be given the HD treatment on PS3, if a survey question from Sony is any indication.

A reader sent the above image, from a Sony survey on God of War, to Kotaku. It asks for suggestions on any other games PS2 games that they'd like to see be "upgraded with similar features to God of War Collection." The reader came up with a fine list of suggestions, including Metal Gear Solid, Grand Theft Auto, and Yakuza.

If Sony were to do another HD collection, it seems likely they'd go with first-party titles, but that still leaves open quite a few options, including Ratchet & Clank, Jak and Daxter, and Gran Turismo, not to mention Ico and Shadow of the Colossus, which are rumored to be coming in a collection early next year. Should Sony go with a third-party series, the number of choices for an HD collection would be hard to count. Whichever way they go, more HD collections seems like a good thing -- especially for PS3 owners without a system that supports backwards compatibility.

Im even more pissed B/C was taken out now.

Atleast when Nintendo made their updated ports you were still able to get the GC versions instead.

I want MGS Collection. I only played the first and before I play MGS4 I want to play the others. Now I dont know if I should buy a PS2 or wait for a remake.

To be fair, these collections include more than one game. That improves the value per dollar IMO.

As long as they are more than 1 game and only $40, I don't have a problem with it to be honest. If they are just one game for $50-60, then I won't waste my money, but two classics in 1080p for $40 and on the PS3? Good deal.

Out of those MGS and resident evil. Teh trophies. Yes im a trophy whore. Wouldint mind the silent hills either its just im to much of a wuss to play them.

R&C, MGS, Jak, and Sly for me.

I can see why.

They release already made games in a new media, with polishing with ease and can sell them for a large profit.

On top of that as GOW collection showed it can be used as a hype machines for a PS3 game.

I'll take a Ratchet and Clank collection. That's about it. I just love those games so much.

I'll just buy the other games for PS2. I still have one.

Give me Dragon Quest VIII in HD and I'll be happy.

Only thing that comes mind is Kingdom Hearts and Metal Gear Solid. A HD remake of the first MGS would be freakin sweet.
