Yes Sony will be fine but it is the same when the cows laughed at Xbox money loss even though MS could even handle it easier then Sony can. Xbox lost tons and now so is the PS3. Yes other areas of Sony are making money but not the PS3. SAme way it was with the Xbox.

I know that. But like the huge losses on the Xbox and Xbox 360, MS and Sony both knew they were going to lose money in the short term to make money in the long run.
The RRoD $1 Billion was a bad hit, because it was unexpected, but MS could absorb it with their massive cash flow.
This $3.3 Billion was not unexpected and is not too large for Sony. It was a calculated risk to spend money to make money, and from the looks of it, it seems like it was a good decision after all.
So it was a big shock to MS when they lost money on the xbox but Sony knew it would happen judging from last thing you said? Come on. It is the same thing. I guess it is fine that everyone laughes at xbox loss but Sony is doing just fine because the psp and PS2 make money. MS made far more money then Sony did as far as companies go during last gen just the xbox by itself was a loss. PS3 is at this point has been a huge money sink. Does not matter what psp has done. Besides for the rrod money loss the 360 has made money almost every quarter so far.
I do not care either way i just think the double standards are pretty funny.
He said the RRoD billion was a shock, which it was. That's different than normal loss on a system for the first couple of years.
