Once again sorry if old,
Hopefully it won't suck as much as the PSPGo, nor be as overpriced either. themyth01you know it'll be overpriced, this is SONY we're talking about
Hopefully it won't suck as much as the PSPGo, nor be as overpriced either. themyth01I think price is definitely the biggest problem for sony since the start of this gen.
Just to clarify, the answer was in response to "PSP2 and/or PSP Phone"... I would consider those very different things ... I can certainly see the PSP Phone being discussed at E3 without a PSP2 announcement, since WSJ all but verified its existence months ago.
Hopefully it won't suck as much as the PSPGo, nor be as overpriced either. themyth01
NONTHING can suck as much as the PSP Go... at least we can be sure of this.
Assuming that it won't use UMDs, nor will it be a download-only platform, I wonder what Sony's going to use for the actual games.
Hopefully it won't suck as much as the PSPGo, nor be as overpriced either. themyth01...If you're even going to compare, compare it to the PSP, not the PSPGo. It's clear that the PSPGo was an experiment to see how many people would buy a Download-only handheld PSP.

VideoGameGuyyou know it'll be overpriced, this is SONY we're talking about Please show me how MS and Nintendo don't overprice their products, either. The only reason the PS3 costed so much was because Sony was losing a massive amount of money on it. Otherwise, it would have been much cheaper. And like I explained above, the PSPGo was an experiment to see how many people would buy a download-only PSP at a premium price. If anything, Sony has been milking the least.

I don't think Sony will be repeating the same big mistake for a second time... DD only is what brought Go to the ground (and it's price of course)

If anything, Sony has been milking the least. you can'tr really "over price" anything if there is a market to buy it at that price. HOWEVER there is an established price range that consumers of videogames consider "normal" and Sony, with both the PSP and PS3, were far above that norm.[QUOTE="themyth01"] ...If you're even going to compare, compare it to the PSP, not the PSPGo. no R1 and L1 pictures at pic ill pass then

That pic is just an artist guess, not a leaked/based from leaked image.
And BTW this mock up does have "shoulder" buttons. Look right above the memory stick slot.
The next generation of PSPs will use digital downloads exclusively, I would bet my PSP-2000 on it. Not because of the success or failure of the Go, but because Sony blames the PSP's downturn heavily on piracy - and a closed, all-digital download system will seem like an enticing solution. Many of the complaints they've heard against the Go (-the 3000 allows you to use both digital downloads and UMDs, and is cheaper!-) will be rendered obsolete if the next-gen system never gives people the option of UMDs in the first place...
As I stated in another thread, if the PSP2 is download only then I can tell you right now that I won't be buying it.
On a bit of a tangent, I remember you mentioned in one of the iPhone threads that Apple takes a 30% royalty on App Store games... do you happen to know what types of royalties Sony takes on PSN games, specifically full PSP games? As I stated in another thread, if the PSP2 is download only then I can tell you right now that I won't be buying it.

Unfortunately I do not.
How are UMDs the cause of piracy? The next generation of PSPs will use digital downloads exclusively, I would bet my PSP-2000 on it. it's a rip-off? what's funny?PSP will be six years old this christmas so I think its time for a new one. This is what I would like:
- Dual analogs
- Clamshell or slide design
- Better battery life
- Possibly a touch screen
- Bluetooth and Mic
- Built in memory, 16GB minimum
- Solid state media (NO UMD's)
- Strong launch titles
- Improved web capabilities to rival the iPhone etc.
- No more than £220
I also DO NOT want the PSP2 to be a phone/console hybrid, phones are trying to imitate consoles, not the other way around.
must suck for those who bought a psp go but then again thats their fault for buying that overpriced machine
"I can neither confirm nor deny the existence of Area 51. In all seriousness, we don't comment on rumors — you'll find out for yourself at E3."
Sony
Hmm, Sony usually just say "We don't on rumors or speculation" but here they added "you'll find out for yourself at E3".
I would like dual analogue sticks and a good web browser :D
[QUOTE="themyth01"]Hopefully it won't suck as much as the PSPGo, nor be as overpriced either. VideoGameGuyyou know it'll be overpriced, this is SONY we're talking about yeah expect another 599 US dollars. but serously I was amazed when when I found out that the PSP's were $180 (a couple months ago I was looking to buy a PSP and I ended up buy the Big Boss bundle). And the PSP Go is $250, WOW thats way overpriced, its the same thing as a regular PSP but with less and nothing new.
Hopefully it won't suck as much as the PSPGo, nor be as overpriced either. themyth01Though it'll suck hard for anyone who just bought a PSPGo. :P

I think their best bet would be memory cards (you can get a 1 GB memory card for 5-10$ and sony makes their own cards (Micro M2) witch probably means they cost them less then CDs).

All sarcasm aside.. how did you get a big boss bundle. They aren't out for another week yet. OR is this one of those stupid Europe things, like Alpha Protocol where you get the game/hardware weeks in advance to us USA people.
handheld games are so 2001...you people really buy this crap? gamebboys and psp's? lmao
ill stick to my ps3
three games isn't going to win ****. especially when they're all sequels but the PS3 wil still have the second strongest showing after the DS. calm downSony why are you being so stupid. If you had left kz2, infamous2, LBP2, the new psp for e3 then combined with whatever you have planned no one could deny the the winner of e3

If that was true the DS would have not sold so much.

My PS3 doesn't exactly fit in my pocket. Especially with the TV and about a billion feet of extension cable.
