32 + 10 = 42. More than the Wii U sells weekly. That means...something.
I'm onto something here, right guys?
Guys?
Right?
what? When they get their hands on the XBOX ONE? You are so right!Greatness awaits for those 10 lucky gamers.

It just keeps getting worse for Sony and better for MS.
I guess Sonys web of lies are starting to unravel, and as usual its cows who are getting owned :(

it has been at least 48 hours since they have shot themselves in the foot.a new record!
:P
A couple questions spring to mind. First, what is the usual launch release for console in Argentina? What was the comparable launch price and numbers for PS3, PS2, PS1, 360 and Xbox?
Second, can we confirm there are only 10 launch systems for argentina or did this guy just call one local game store and ask them how many pre-orders they were taking? Because pre-orders is not the same as total available consoles. And one store is not the whole country. Unfortunately, the author of the article doesn't really clarify or back up these first two comments.
Then he goes on to complain about PSN cards and such? What does that have to do with whether or not the console is launchs world wide? I live in Canada and think I just started seeing PSN cards this past year. Like it or not, the same is true for launch games. That has nothing to do with worldwide console launch and it happens everywhere. Anyone want to bet money that there are Japanese launch games that we won't get here in NA? Or even UK launch games that will only hit the UK launch date? Sorry argentina only gets a small handful of the total launch titles, but that has nothing to do with the consoles world wide launch and nothing to do with Sony so much as distribution laws and logistics.
Honestly, I don't think Sony really cares that much about a true world wide launch that would guarantee there are no shortages. So the idea that this is a PR stunt seems pretty stupid and pointless to me. Sony already announced they are pushing back their japanese launch date. JAPAN! If they are willing to push back launch in their home region, I don't think they are all that concerned about what 10 systems in argentina means for their world wide launch. Sony cares about selling as many consoles in as many regions as possible right out of the gate. Saying "world wide" doesn't actually mean every single country on earth is getting a million consoles on launch day. That has never happened in the history of consoles. It means the company has a lot of consoles ready to ship around the world, that's it. And considering the huge demand for PS4 we are seeing via pre-orders, Sony clearly has a lot of consoles ready to sell...unlike MS.
Where the hell are they getting the 10 unit number from? There is no source to it. No other article stated it and Sony Argentina didn't say it.
The 1000 dollar number is real. Its crazy how overpriced consoles can be in south america. I always feel bad for my cousins. You can bring a console from US to there and sell it for 3x its worth (even a wii).
OMG! No way! TCHBO

taken by itself? yeah. lame.
taken in context of what the xb1 was bashed for...still a bit lame but makes more sense.
Funny as we get closer and closer to launch how the Gold shine is starting to wear off of the PS4 and the XBOX ONE's image just keeps getting better and better. ShoTTyMcNaDeS:lol:   Dreamland.
As opposed to Xbox not even launching worldwide, a no games ad, weaker than PS4, Major Nelson crying about Xbone etc. Yup getting better
TBF, PS4 is launching at $1200 in Argentina, so I don't many people will buy one at launch. MFDOOM1983
I would say 10 people can, so Sony made very good math!

How exactly is the Xbox One getting "better and better"?
Its funny how bad Sony tries so hard to fool the public about their deceit and dishonesty. But the public has slowly but surely seen through their ways. No one I know buys Sony anything these days. Hopefully their demise is sped up considerably in the next few years.

I wonder if this problem is happening in other countries as well? I know hardware and games are hugely expensive in South America. The reason I know this is because I had several workers from Argentina come to my job to be trained and they were avid gamers. The two guys said they were going out and buying a PS3 and as many games as they could afford in the U.S. and take them back to Argentina. I told them that they would probably need a convertor plug and that any new games they bought probably wouldn't work on US systems. They didn't care, they said everything is overpriced in their country and they were tired of it and just wanted to play games cheaply. They said a lot of games are pirated over there. I'm not surprised.
I'm curious as to how many PS4 are being allocated to each region. The fact Sony didn't have any PS4 running at Gamescom is a problem. Lets see if they have any at TGS.
Don't care, atleast they aren't bitch slapping us (europeans)... like they did with ps3.
ramonnl
No, instead they are bitch slapping Japan and their own people.
Japan gamers can wait until Feb for their PS4.
This is going to be an interesting launch. I can't wait.
