Cookigaki loves Shin Megami Tensei, Cookigaki also think it could be Media Vision - The developers of wild arms.[QUOTE="whisperingmute"]I just wiki'd Atlus and they're the makers of the Shin Megami Tensei series :o That would be epic!Interesting indeed...

I believe it's definitely possible. If it comes true, then "that would be epic".
I wouldn't mind it being Level Five either.(dark cloud series and rogue galaxy) But, they have titles being developed for the DS such as the Professor Layton games and the new game that has a helping hand from the artist from Princess Monoke, Castle in the Sky(Hayao Miyazaki). So, I doubt that will happen.
about time sony did something about their lack of RPGs this gen.
RedMarzBoy
Sony really does need to do something about it's lack of RPGs. At least White Knight Chronicles is coming soon.

Well, From Cookigaki perspective, it can't be Level 5, From Software, Nis? Perhaps. Cookigaki forgot to mention - IT"S ONLY A RUMOUR!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!Cookigaki
1. How hard is it to link things!!! :x
2. How do you "aquire" a second party developer?
3. It's probably Level 5.

You aquire them by either having a contract to develop exclusive games for certain number of games. Another way is to purchase about 49% - 90% of the company in question so the company has to make games for the 1st Party developer's console.I'm guessing Level 5
That would be big, big news. Im sure most people have no idea what/who Level 5 is. Alot of people know what the SMT series is, though. Even I do, and I haven't played one of them!I'm guessing Square Enix. Or probably Nippon Ichi and then have them cancel their Wii projects (like Rare canceling more of their Gamecube projects when Microsoft bought them).

Level 5 made Dark Cloud 2, Rogue Galaxy, Professor Layton, Jeanne d'Arc, and currently making White Knight Chronicles

But if you buy them they become first party, not second. And I doubt Sony would have a contract for 2 or 3 games, the tend toget intthings for the long haul.

Nintendo owned 49% of Rareware and they were 2nd Party. Nintendo only owned enough to make Rareware develop exclusively for Nintendo. The Stamper Brothers owned 51% until they sold their shares to Microsoft forcing Nintendo to sell their 49%.[QUOTE="-Snooze-"][QUOTE="aaronmullan"] Well, they're not mainstream, but they're more known than Hardcore RPG fans. EVOLV3
there were rumors a while back saying depending on how WKC sell level 5 might become a part of SCE
Ragashahs
yeah, i remember an article saying something like that, hopefully its true.
level 5 is impossible layton on DS has outsold every other game they've ever made combined. they're not giving that up to join a company in the gutterhy4k
If Sony buys 50%+ of their stock, they won't have a say period.
considering they've recently announced a ton of titles including a studio ghibli co-production, they're rolling in dough thanks to the DS and they've launched a new dd service sony wont be buying crap try againIf Sony buys 50%+ of their stock, they won't have a say period.

My guess leans toward NCsoft. They've already announced they'd be making an exclusive title for the console, but no titles have been named. A free to play, microtransaction based MMO, off the ps network would be cool. GT had a nice interview with Chris Chung back from D.I.C.E. 2008.

the same company in the gutter that made your beloved psp that you so do cherish.:P

what money? what are you talking about?
do you even know anything about sony? do you know how badly they are haemorrhaging money right now?
do you know how ridiculous it is to suggest that a company which makes most of its money from the DS would willingly become a sony exclusive developer?
I agree I didn't mind it at first but every post he types in the 3rd Person.Talking in 3rd person is really annoying the crap out of me.
