Unless they create games that appeal to recreational gamers I doubt the Playstation Move will be successful.

lol wow...And I was told by cows that the move would totally appeal to hard cores and Sony wouldn't make nothing but party and mini games for it.

Having at least 1 party game isn't bad. All the other MOVE titles that we know of aren't party titles. Also, Sony has already said that they won't allow shovelware MOVE titles.

And let it begin: Wii Party vs. Start the Party.

Which one will be better? My vote easily goes to Wii Party! Nintendo knows user interfaces too well.

How silly of you to rely on a Sony fanboy and not Sony themselves for whats coming or not coming out. Who didn't see this coming? Sony wants Nintendo's casuals.

Evidently they were wrong. This game is painfully casual and generic to boot.

how is that foolish? I bet most of the move-exclusive titles will be party/family-friendly games. If you need proof, just look at the majority of PSEye games. The hardcore games wouldn't dare be move-exclusive.

watch as Sony releasing more casual games for Move than Nintendo but they continue to be called more "core" than Nintendo, like they always have

Nintendo makes games for everyone, where as Sony makes games for Cores and Casuals separate

"hardcore" games will probably add optional support for move by slapping on point controls. beyond that I don't see much of their support.

the majority of games will be casual, I agree. however you will see Sony endevouring to strike a balance by creating more hardcore games, for example a Move control scheme for Socom 4 (amongst others). Therefore I was stating that it would be foolish to believe that 'the move would totally appeal to hard cores' - that being clearly propaganda and therefore he was aiming to create a fuss by spouting rubbish.

exactly. That also means that the game design won't reflect the benefits of faster movement and more precise gameplay. It's unfortunate, but that is Sony's strategy. It's the smarter business move, I suppose.

I agree that he was spouting to create a fuss, but I think he is partially (if not mostly) correct. It's unfortunate that we have crazy fanboys that make us angry, but Move would be a wasted attempt at gaining more Playstation fans if it didn't go more family-friendly. In any matter, I hope Move is a success and they create a move-exclusive hardcore game with a huge budget with amazing HD graphics. However, I doubt that will happen.

I think anyone not expecting there to be a lot of these types of games for Move is fooling themselves, since Sony is obviously going after a big part of the Wii's audience. I'm not saying that's a bad thing but it's pretty obvious to anyone.

I expect this game will be the one bundled with Move, so I'll end up owning it anyway.

Smart.

Want to attract the casual market?

A party game is the way to do it.

Theyre still biters though.

Don't be so upset. Both Move and Natal will have these types of games anyway. Here is a list of Move's Party games which were announced couple months ago:

Learn your history. Party games with motion started with ps2s eyetoy. Wii ripped off Sony. Also you clearly haven't played modnation so please refrain from talking about it.
