Sony has slowly started to advertise for the holiday season by putting commercials on TV and most of them, from my point of view, aren't that great at all. For example, the Little Big Planet ads show no reason for that game to be as great as it is. Ooh you can have fun!!!!! And the newest commercials where their is a little video of a game like Ratchet being reflected on the windows and a little kid with his mouth open. Then it says get your wishlist ready or something. That tells me nothing about the PS3 or the games that it has. The average consumer won't know, HEY THATS RATCHET AND CLANK, for all they know the little kid is staring at a hot babe on the street. Sony needs some major help in their marketing department.

yea, best console commercial. Too bad it got banned in the U.S. so I only saw it on youtube.
Had never seen it just watched it now pretty awesome. I always liked the Gears and halo commercials, it seemed like they were mainly for people who were already buying the games though.
yeah that was from last holiday season they should just use that template again and just replace the game clips with this years games. i love that commercial
What Sony is trying to do is build curiosity, but what they need to realize is the fact people aren't gonna drop 399 on something they're curious in trying out....
They just need to be a lot more vague in there approach to advertising the PS3....just be straight up with people about what the PS3 has to offer and quit beating around the bush.
I think the awful part of some Sony commercials is the part they show the $399 starting price tag at the end like that would woo some buyers but I believe they stopped doing that.
The problem is that these days advertising isnt what it used to be 10 years ago. These days advertisements are too confusing and beat around the bush too much. They just leave the viewer confused on the product.
Actually, Sony commercials are very good. Core gamers such as ourselves might not like them, but why do WE even need them? It is meant to get the attention of the casuals.
Microsoft, IMO, has the worst commercials. The rock band one sucked bad. Their PC commercials are pretty good though.
I just know that the Swedish LBP commercial are crap. They are using a narrator which tries to be funny, but fails horribly. The narrator is also the same guy that does ringtone commercial which makes it even worse.
I like the 360 campaign, it shows the gameplay and at the end it says "On 360 starting at 1799 SEK".

Again, the "White PSP is coming commercial", the "Creepy Baby", and "This is Living" are proof that Sony makes the worst commercials, especially compared to commercials like the Imaginary Gun FightÂ

i dunno about that man. nintendo and 360 have some lame ads, but it's better than the stupid fake post-modern crap sony pulls nearly 100% of the time. they have to stop treating their products like they're some sort of weird new age cult. Â
