Sonys game division loses $867 million in recent quarter (1.31 mill PS3's sold)

the gaming division has reported a 43% increase in sales over last year, while netting a operating loss of 96.7 billion yen($867 million US) due primarily to the overall cost of the Playstation 3.

oh well, things are bumpy right now, I'm sure things will pick up, the PS3 will be fine.

all PS3 fans have to do right now is take it easy, take their lumps from Wii and 360 fans. Eventually Sony fans will have enough ammo to shoot around instead of all the conspiracy theories and all the crying going on.

only thing that can happen this generation is all of us ending up with some great freaking games for all systems, we will all be ok, lets just enjoy it while we can.

Sony have always known they would be selling the ps3 at a loss. If they had sold as many as they hoped, they would have made an even bigger losscod4ownzzz

Sony subsidizing the PS3 hardware, plus the lack of meaningful PS3 software sales and dwiindling sales of PS2 games and hardware, combined to form this most recent loss by Sony.
