Things that I find wrong about this Timeline:

1) GTA was never PS exclusive. All of the games appeared on the Xbox as well, so how does that count as a lost exclusive? Boohoo, lemmings dont have to wait 6 months to play it.

Thats all :D

Sony's gained exclusives:

Wardevil: Enigma

Heavy Rain

Both were once multiplatform, and both look amazing graphically. The ps3 may have lost some exclusives, but ps3 owners still get to play them. 360 owners, however, miss out on these two great looking games completely (unless they happen to also own a ps3).

It was announced multiplat. It was assumed exclusive by just about everybody, but when Rockstar announced the game, they announced it for both platforms. Actually, the game was first announced by Peter Moore with the whole tatoo thing.

The whole thing is really stupid. There are so few exclusives coming out for each platform, and they are pretty spread out its not too hard to get a friend who has say a PS3, and another who has a Wii. Congrats you only need to buy an Xbox 360, and you can play all the console exclusives.

Today. They couldn't find a publisher, so Sony took up the job.

For every exclusive Sony has lost, I can name 3 for each one that Sony has gained. How do you like them apples?

"The two major remaining third-party exclusives for PlayStation 3 are Metal Gear Solid 4 and Final Fantasy XIII. Konami has certainly never been resistant to putting Metal Gear titles on different hardware; witness Twin Snakes on GameCube and Substance on Xbox. And Microsoft is likely gunning hard for the game. Also, Konami probably prefers making money to losing truckloads of it. All things considered, I'm pretty sure it's already a done deal, given the fact that we hear very credible rumors about it once a week or so."

Because "credible rumors" are more credible than Kojima's word. The author of that article is a hater.

Huh, Heavy Rain is now PS3 exclusive? Well now I'm definitely glad I rebought a PS3. Still no reason to buy a Wii again yet though.

Actually, you're one of the few on SW that hasn't heard of Heavy Rain. It's made by the same guys that made Indigo Prophecy and has quite a cult following much like the fans of Team Ico games (Ico, Shadow of the Colossus).

Also, had you heard of Fatal Inertia before today? That's apparently one of the "major" exclusives the ps3 lost.

I agree with the poster that said so few true exclusives anymore. What is left more than likely wont push non hardcore gamers over the hump for either system.

It goes both ways.If that list was called MS' lost exclusives, it would probably have all ps3's3 AAA games.

They didn't mention the biggest blow though which is Ace combat.

Losing exclusives is sad but when cows all of a sudden starts losing interest in the game because it's not exclusive anymore is just more sad. "we lost this game but we gain this game" It's like they just dropped the interest of that game. Cows are one of the worst fanboys out there.

2 problems with that list

1. GTA 4 was never exclusive, GTA has ALWAYS been multiplat, GTA3,Vice City,SanAndreas
2. Assassins Creed was shown 1 year earlier running on the 360 as project assassin
