Sonys Home is a ripoff of this program THERE mabe it does not look as good but ps3 home is exactly the same thing. http://www.there.com/ you can experience it right now.
As for little big planet its nothing new to 2D just cause it looks really good for a 2D game doesn't mean it owns every 2D game before it, it does look pretty fun though.
