Sorry if posted already, also gamespots bold/link things aren't working for me right now so if someone else can link that'd be much appreciated. http://www.guardian.co.uk/technology/gamesblog/2009/jun/09/sony-games"The PS3 is only a quarter way through a 10-year life cycle. So we want to make sure that we are supporting and exciting the core gamers,' Hirai told The Guardian, 'If you go mainstream too quickly and don't support the core gaming audience then you lack the pillar to support your platform. Without this pillar you end up with a fickle audience that might be big but will probably move on."GiantMuffin

Sounds like Sony shooting off at the mouth again.

So they're not allowed to say they're going to support their core audience without doing something wrong? :| What did Sony do to you?[QUOTE="GiantMuffin"]Sorry if posted already, also gamespots bold/link things aren't working for me right now so if someone else can link that'd be much appreciated. http://www.guardian.co.uk/technology/gamesblog/2009/jun/09/sony-games"The PS3 is only a quarter way through a 10-year life cycle. Yes. Stating that you don't want to abandon the core audience is SO egotistical. :roll:they all shoot off at the mouth. Densie Kreiger from Nintendo makes excuses as to why they don't have enough games out for the veteran gamers. Sony says that they lead the industry although while PS3 sales aren't that much lower than 360's right now, they are far from leading the industry. MS doesn't say much and when they do, all they talk about is how much they are beating sony, so who cares. All 3 companies have their faults.
Nintendo- has caters way too much to the casual market, even with E3's announcements, the casual is still top heavy.
Microsoft-your hardware has been proclaimed by some to be maxed out, while the market place has a filesize cap on it. The arcade version of your system is crap, why do sell it, and then put out games that require a hard drive
Sony-why do you announce games that won't come out until 4 or more years later? Games like Uncharted, MAG and MGS4 might really show off your technology, but most developers aren't going to push power that much.
I can agree with that, Sony have been fantastic this gen despite a rough start.-Pred-Alien-
Agreed. While having an extremely rough start, the PS3 is really starting to shine with some great titles coming out.
this should be filed under the"boy, this oughtta shut the nerds up, now lets get back to pouring all out resources into casual trash games and goofy add-ons so we can get us some of that fat wii moneyz that falls out of the sky if you throw some crap mini game compilations together"file.
expect a similar announcement from MS soon if they have not already said this.
