[QUOTE="Nedemis"][QUOTE="rgame1"] Reggie clearly said in that gametrailers TV episode that this E3, ninty will have something big that "all gamers will want".
And Kid icarus is not the game everyone wants. Please sheep, stop living in the past, and start living in the modern world. I love nintento, yet I only heard of this kid icarus a few days ago. Yes, its that unknown. Good. Most gamers probably did not like it when it firstcame out. Otherwise ninty would have been milking it to the max.
As for matt cassamasina's statement, if it is confirmed, then it is probably a "on the side" surprise to fulfill the fantasy's of old school sheep. But thats it.
The real suprise will probably be a new IP that everyone will want, Disaster day of crisis, or the upcoming new zelda. Or maybe it will be a big third party game.

You claim you love Nintendo, yet you don't even know of one of their greatest titles EVER. Kid Icarus for the NES was possibly one of the best NES titles released. Just because you didn't know of the game until a few days ago, doesn't mean the rest of their loyal fanbase doesn't know of it. Kid Icarus is a huge foundation for Nintendo success with the NES and I can gaurantee you that they will be bringing him back in a full blown title.
There were 2 Kid Icarus games...one for NES, and one for Gameboy. The Gameboy version was quickly forgotten about and the NES version is 22 years old. Now let me ask you this. Remember, this is based on Reggie Fils-Aime comments. How can the announcement of a new Kid Icarus for Wii excite EVERY GAMER? That makes no sense. There are plenty of people who own a Wii who don't know anything about the original Kid Icarus. Now, a new Kid Icarus may very well be the surprise announcement anyway...but if it is...then that means Reggie was either lieing, or he has no clue what he was talking about.
KI is in a postion to easily be reinvented as a hot property. A killer app is something most people would want...but then again Nintendo's definition of something everyone wants could mean anything...I mean Wii Fit was their showpiece last year.
