i have Soul caliber 2 on the gamecube, and also smash.
Maybe im i'll informed, but soul calibur doesnt seem very deep. im not bashing the game, in fact im probably just ignorant of the deeper fighting mechanics, but smash is just a more in-depth fighting game to me.
again, Im probably in the dark as far as SC is concerned.
I love both, but really... SSB games have more staying power for me. SC games are fun though, but after you unlock everything there isn't much more you can do... battles aren' as customizable to the length that SSB games are and SSBB looks to be better than SC IV I think too. Still, both are very enjoyable games too.
I don't count Super Smash Bros as a fighting game like how I don't count Power Stone as a fighting game. They're more like a party game to me since I've never ever play them by myself.Â
The problem with with SC is that it peaked with its first game, and the ones that followed couldnt live up. SSB was more consistant. But over all SC is the best single game but i guess thats not what my poll asks, but still the best game takes it imo
