As a Wii60 owner I'm getting both of these games.

Boobs> greater than wii so SCIV wins.
Establish great fighting franchise> upcoming spinoff wannabe a fighter
Yup. they look about the same to me.SER69
Naaah Soul Calibur looks better, but Castlevania Judgement features some pretty awesome eye candy.
I love Castlevania, but I hate the character redesigns.
Saturos3091
I like the way they've transitioned them into 3D. They're not Anime. They're Gothic Lolita.

Soul Calibur fanboyishness aside, Except the original Castlevania 64 (which was still only average at best) Castvania has never worked in 3D. And I don't really see the Wii's control system giving the depth a beat em up needs.
Still, I'll hold off judgement till I've seen it in action

It's made by the same person who drew for Death Note but I pefer Ayami Kojima's artwork...
Wow. Judgement is looking really good if those are in-game screens. I'm not sure how well a Castlevania fighting game would work but it looks pretty good.
I'll give the hand to SCIV, though. It's already an established franchise and has some great characters. :)

Clearly you don't. Gothic Lolita is a fashion, but anime is an art st*le. I did have a GF who was into the fashion and I have a photo of us together in one of her dresses...

I am not liking it. Then again it's not just this game, the more recent Castlevania games since Dawn of Sorrow have been focusing more on that sty1e Doesn't make them bad games though, just makes the games lose that sort of atmosphere I guess.
Don't forget Aria of Sorrow. As much as I absolutely loved that game, it's what started the whole anime look in Castlevania games :x
[QUOTE="Saturos3091"]
I see. I don't like that sty1e either, although of course it has it's roots in anime. It's just not fitting at all. I don't mind the transition per se. They all have that distinct "gothic lolita" sty1e losing that darker touch the series is known for. Alucard now looks effeminate, and his outfit is not fitting the son of Dracula. Gah I'm kinda disgusted now.

It still looks relatively darker and more...traditional Castlevania.
As opposed to the look of Dawn of Sorrow. Yuck.

It was never that bad till THIS game. The eyes were normal sized, the characters were still dark, and the personality of the game still stood. This game takes that, and pisses all over it. Look at those freakin eyes man, thats what bugs me most. I just can't see it in the same way, having the same mood. They are probably trying to appeal to a wider audience, but I think this is more like suicide. Fans are what keep castlevania alive, lets fact it, it wouldn't go off the market 2 weeks after it was released if the fanbase was EA sports sized. (And yeah, they do that to nearly every new castlevania games, you see it there one day, then the next its gone.)[QUOTE="Tony-Harrison"]

Yeah exactly.. They've totally ruined him. He looks like something out of Kingdom Hearts. :| First they ruin his voice acting then they ruin his look. The castlevania devs have lost it.

Whoa, Alucard is a dude? (sorry, not really into Castlevania, probably should though.) I seriously though it was a girl from those screens.

Alucard is Dracula's son, hence why his name is dracula backwards. They weren't very creative I guess.[QUOTE="freek666"][QUOTE="Saturos3091"]

(those people are still alive. this is what he actually did)
Alucard however is not.

They weren't very creative I guess. Wow I never realised that.Yeah I saw the first screen and it was totally a guy, a retarded gorilla with one eye can see that, but the screens from Judgement make him look like a chick. And is it just me, or does the silvery hair and new outfit make him look a little like Sephiroth?
That's what I'm saying from the second screen. The first screen it's pretty obvious I thought. Certain facial features stand out more as male features I guess. Plus his hair was never actually silver/gray to begin with. It was bleach-yellow blonde. He's supposed to be based in the 17th-18th centuries but he's immortal so he makes an appearance in the more modern Castlevania games like Dawn of Sorrow.Saturos3091

Yeah, I know about the tepes thing, and I know about Vlad, I was just saying that so people would go "aaah", most people don't realise its dracula backwards. falconclan

As a castlevania fan, this game won't exsist along with the Castlevania 64 abominations.xxastrocreepxx
Castlevania 64 can't really be compared to Judgement though. Totally different hardware.
If Castlevania Judgement is online then I'll get it. No doubt about Soul Calibur 4...getting that day 1.
