Looks like third party support isn't as bad as it was for the GC!
What do you guys think?

Crap
Why not just make a full-blown fighting game? SC2 sold extremely well for GC, if not better than the other SC2 for Xbox and PS2.
"SC4" would likely prove the Wiimote even further. Â
kage 53 no flashattackfina "The announcement suggests Seigfried takes point in the storyline, but Namco Bandai promises players will play their favorites from the series -- and even introduce some new faces, too. We know little of the story, though, other than understanding the characters come together to complete "a quest for ultimate power in order to save an empire from destruction."

It'll be some FP sword fighting game.... prepare for Redsteel 2!Â
*sigh* I'm not surprised really at the responses of this thread.
Anything on the wii is crap anyway, so why bother defending it?
but i assure you though, if this were for ps3 AND A REAL FIGHTING GAME, cows would it eat up like grass :) (pun intended)Â

Ubisoft already confirmed for Redsteel 2, so you lose!!!
It's Soul Calibur 2 however...I'm kind of dissappointed...I want to see an original fighting title made for the Wii (besides Wii Boxing). Still, if it turns out any better than MK did, I'm interested.JLuke360
What do you mean it's SC2? It didn't mention SC2 anywhere.
"Over the past ten years, since the release of the original Soul Blade, the team behind the Soulcalibur series has pushed the envelope of technology and innovation with each iteration," said Makoto Iwai, exec. VP and COO of Namco Bandai America. Makoto Iwai
To me that sounds like it's being developed from the ground-up on the Wii.Â
I'm going to go out on a limb and say it will be the best looking Wii game to date. If it can look like this on the PS2:
then it can be stunning on the Wii.
Two things happened here that I wanted to see from the series.
1. A Soul Calibur game on the Wii
2. I actually wanted to see an Action/adventure or Action RPG (better suited if you considering leveling and weapons) iteration of Soul Calibur. Hopefully they'll do a good job.
BTW Soul Calibur III is still a very good game, the fighting (which matters most) was tight as ever, even a bit refined and it's quick, and definitely pleasing to the eyes. Tales of Souls was like an Arcade mode of sorts, I'd prefer the Arcade mode but it was still kind of neat.
And I think the CAS system was a step forward for SCIV which unfortunately seems Wii won't be getting.
Damnit, shut up! Soul Calibur has always delivered and it's not nearly as expanded as Tekken, so what's wrong with trying something new? Who knows, it could be good or bad but damnnit shut up, you people are so frustrating. Especially when you begin to hype some of the worst games, just because you don't the Wii doesn't make it's potential any lower.
