Soul Calibur IV 360 or PS3

I bought the 360 version and yoda is fun to play with. It just depends on who you think you'd like to play as more. Yoda is faster, Vader is more powerful... so it doesnt matter that much

I think you may have answered your own question in part. Im getting it for the PS3 as most of my friends are getting it for that as well.

any PS3 multiplat = instant downgrade

360 gives u custom soundtracks, achievements, cross game invites and chatting.

Get the PS3 version because:

1) Optional install means that all load times are much faster

2) The PS3 controller is better suited for fighters since the D-Pad is better and placed closer than the Xbox controller. Analaog sticks aren't too good with fighters.

3) Darth Vader is much cooler than Yoda. Seriously.

Also, Rumors suggest DLC for both platforms, not that it matters, since according to IGN, Yoda may be broken (Which is what I thought was going to happen to BOTH SW characters actually.)

Sounds like PS3 is better version from voices here and IGN but I will look for more reviews.

You always say that the required installs for the PS3 were wack. Everytime someone has something good to say about the PS3, the first thing that comes from your mouth is " repuired installs", and now you are pumping it up, but its not just you, it's pretty much all of the 360 only users.

but i bought the ps3 version, and i would say go with that one, the controller is better suited for it, and ya know vader! plus it looks and feels a bit smoother, or so ive heard, i wouldnt know first hand

Eh, I'll probably get the 360 version. I checked my Live friends list a while ago on xbox.com and nearly everyone that was online was playing it.

I'll have to try out that dpad fix before taking it online or, if push comes to shove, I'll get one of the arcade sticks.

For some reason the 360s videos make it look slow. How is the 360 version? When i saw the PS3 videos it was very smooth, and i was bothered by that as i dont have a PS3, and if this were true i wouldnt be getting the 360 ver.

The PS3 version is more polished and has the fastest load times according to IGN. Additionally the lighting from various weapon strikes on the PS3 version features a bloom shader effect that is not on the Xbox 360 version. This can either make it look better, (or worse) depending on how you want your lighting to look. I also never noticed a framerate drop on the PS3 but the Xbox 360 will drop from 60 during shader intense fight sequences.

Buy whatever version you have the system for. If you have both systems, buy the PS3 version unless you REALLY want Yoda. I suspect both characters can be purchased later on for both systems after the inital "exclusive" period anyway.

I will probably end up getting the PS3 version.

Simply: better technicals, better D-Pad controls, and the Vader v Yoda issue.

Though I do have 3 360 controllers. Im not sure if there is 4 player tag in SC4... so if there is that might change my decision.
