Bah, saw this trailer when it was actually a "world premier". I thought it looked like Socom. If it takes you on a rollercoaster ride like UC2 and adds more colour then it will indeed be a good game. But from a weak trailer it is impossible to say that its better then last years goty.

its not a weak trailer, its better than most trailers is just CGI or Real time. Also the song is good imo :)

Greg Kasavin is a producer for this game by the way. The game's based on common conventions within the genre. But they're trying to add enough new stuff on top of that structure to give it its own identity and whatnot. The setting and natural disaster-like scenario certainly lends it a distinct and desolate, almost alien look and tone. The sand is supposed to be somewhat accurately simulated. At the very least there'll be environmental traps and unexpected shifts of terrain going on. I don't know if the stuff will actually shift with the wind and such crazy nonsense. The narrative is supposed to be "provocative". Whatever that means they're at least trying to do something.
