the pc parts will go down, where the 360 is probably not gonna have a price drop in the foreseeable future.

get a 360 and get the pc parts at a discout later is my opinion.

If you have any interest at all in Dead Rising, Kameo, Forza Motorsport 2, Braid, N+ or Ikaruga then get a 360... but if not, get the upgrades. I personally am going to get a new computer for the sake of having my own computer, I am also not going to use it solely for gaming so I don't need to justify spending more than $300 on it.

Both the 360 and PC offer many great exclusive games you shouldn't miss out on.

Upgrade your PC.

It will have roughly 8 times the sRAM of the 360 (judging that most of the time, 360's RAM is going to be split 256-256 minus 32 for OS). It will have roughly twice the vRAM....and it will be faster.

Your videocard will destroy a 360 (yes, even for 150 dollars....), and your CPU will be a out-of-order processor, capable of significantly more and improving your desktop and browsing experience by a significant margin.

Unless you're running Vista, in which case, throw the stupid thing in the garbage.

PC gaming>console gaming. Don't let anyone tell you otherwise. LOL TEH COUCH! How much spin time does that argument get?

I have interest in Dead Rising, Kameo and Braid.

However, Braid is in development for the PC, and Kameo is a *average* title. Dead Rising is a *good-great* title. At least argue using *good* 360 games. And don't say "any interest at all," say "significant interest." I have interest. I still don't care to buy one. Sorry.

Sins of a Solar Empire or Company of Heroes alone are worth ten of those games.

I would recommend upgrading the PC but it all depends on which video card you are getting. If its 8 series than dont bother. We are talking 9+ series here.Something like 9800GTX would be great with a core 2 duo and 2 gig crossair ram. This should run all the games perfectly fine !

You won't know if they are high quality until you try them. I personally enjoyed Dead Rising, Mass Effect, Kameo, Devil May Cry 4, and Forza Motorsport 2 way more than Call of Duty 4, Grand Theft Auto IV, Halo 3 and BioShock. Gamespot's "good" games aren't my "good" games. You won't ever know what is truly good until you try it for yourself. Using another person's opinion about how much *they* enjoyed it isn't going to help you at all.

Which of the two options would enable you to play more games you can't play now but want to play? That's the way to go.

Call of Duty 4 sucked, true that.

GTA IV had sloppy controls, ugly visuals, poor presentation in my short experience with it.

Halo 3 was a friggin' mess. Had the potential for fun. From what I've played.

DMC4 is a little meh.

Mass Effect falls short of PC RPG greats...even Bioware RPG greats.

From what I've played of Forza it seemed clunky, but then again, I haven't dived in and I can partially chalk that up to lack of experience. I preferred GTHD TBH from the demos.

Kameo was kind of LoL.

I hate Call of Duty though. I really do. I like Folklore and Shadow of the Colossus. My favorite PC games are DOD:S and RO. Not exactly your high rollers on this site. Even so.

Yeah let's forget that all my figures are correct.

Yeah, I was pretty harsh but that's primarily just because I'm disgusted with console gaming, online in particular. The only service that I've encountered that is up to scratch is PSN, and that's ONLY for the first party titles, the rest of it is a waste of time (COD4, RB6V....completely unplayable).

I think you guys just try too damn hard. Console GAMES are great, yeah, but the consoles themselves are a waste of time.

We don't share opinions on Mass Effect. I thought it was really great. Of course the OP could play it both if he gets the pc upgrade and if he gets the 360.

I'm sure it was but even so your point made it nullified to begin with. I just thought I wouldn't bring it up. The only game he mentioned secondarily that wasn't multiplatform was Halo. And how long does that one have left before we get it?

I think I'll pass though. Halo is kind of an embarrassing game (Halo 1 and 2 in particular). They've been so utterly trounced by Half Life 2 it's scarcely funny. I don't know why that series has the reputation that it does. Literally, I was playing Half Life 2 and CSS when Halo 2 came out. I just played it maybe 6 months ago. It was repulsive. Even Halo 1 PC.

Forza is a far deeper racing sim than GT could ever hope itself to be... and GTR2 destroys it. That said, Forza 2 is the best racing sim available currently for consoles.

Kameo is like Banjo Kazooie, you either love it or laugh at it.

What interests some will not interest others, that is why we as gamers are given these wide variety of choices of what to play. I was never trying to convince anyone to buy a 360 "because of these great games" but was just saying that from my experience, those games I found to be great and made worth my purchase of a 360.

Damn, funny how we seemed to have different experiences.

Either way, it looks like your idea of "not knowing how these games are" until I played them didn't quite pan out.

Get the PC upgrades. The PC has many of the multiplats from the 360 anyway and you get some pretty good games on it. That's why I'm happy I upgraded my PC.
