Spider-Man 2 coming to PC January 30th!

How many games is Nixxes working on? Every Sony game I hear about is the one them porting it.

I'll pick them both up on a deep discount. I platinumed SM1, and played SM2 so i've no need to jump in at release.

Oh, good stuff! I enjoyed 1 and MM so should be good fun. I don't know if i'll get it day one (I hear it's a bit short) but definitely on the list.

Sony previously stated that there would be a two-year gap between PS and PC releases for single player games.

But now, with Spider-Man 2, it's down to just 15 months.

I smell a change in Sony's thinking in the air. Day 1 PS & PC release eventually? Still doubtful, but we seem to be getting there.

They may have expanded their teams to work on multiple ports at once.

One juicy detail I learned from the porting of Horizon Forbidden West was that Guerrilla actually built their game to be "port-ready" from day 1, with advice from Nixxes. I'd imagine it's the same here.

I'll pick it up asap whenever the mod (no pun intended) community can fix Mary Jane😏 Love the first game on PC and of course I'll buy it day one PC. Now, if I have to take a guess, I think TLOU2 PC port could be coming soon whenever the HBO S2 comes out just to maximized the hype surrounding it...I guess.

The PS5 version came out October 20th 2023 which is almost (at the time of this post) a year old game. I guess Sony wants to get their taxes back asap due to Concord's failure.

Loved the first game and the expansion/stand-alone game for Miles. Will definitely check out the second.

Not my favorite game, but I honestly think Spider-Man is one of the best-made games of all time. It runs flawlessly, looks great, controls are sharp, the voice-acting was great, well-written...just a really well made game all around.

Finally gamers will be able to mod out the chin.

i think Sony will keep doing these timed exclusives for as long as possible since (unlike Microsoft) they actually know how to manage their messaging and they basically own the home console market at this point..

they understand that the hardcore twitter fanboy crowd set the narrative and the casual mass-market will follow..

but like Thanos, Day 1 on PC for PlayStation games is inevitable as the gaming industry continues to shift..

First game is slightly better than Arkham, but still mid, and going back to the same city in the sequel seems lame.

I played this at release by borrowing the physical copy from my local library. It's mercifully brief as far as open world games go and is kind of comfy in so far that quick travel and all the checklist Ubisoft slop stuff can be done super fast so in that sense it's okay. Took less than 20 hours to plat.

Absolutely not worth buying though.

Well to be truthful , this only applies if he was the one who bought his initial ps5, and if he got it at full price.

It applies because he bought the PS5 Pro version that was $1,000.

$1,000 is way too much to spend on a mid-gen console that's hardly worth investing IMO. Why not wait for PS6 when Sony already admitted they are working on already? I'm fine with my regualr PS5 as it is, so I'll just wait for PS6. (Assuming the launch titles are worth a damn.
