Spike TV awards

Atleast they had some game developers actually accept the awards instead of rappers and random celebrities.

I was busy watching the Colts beat down the Ravens, what were the winners? I'm guessing Halo 3 ran train.Sir_BIGnuts

No actually Guitar hero and Rockband ran the show. Bioshock got game of the year and yet Call of duty 4 got best shooter...that doesn't even make any logical sense since bioshock was also nominated for shooter!!! How can you give a game of the year award to a game that lost to another game in its own genre?!

No way in hell and I am a huge PC gamer. No way is Orange box more technologically advanced than Crysis. It isn't even close...Cryengine 2 is a technological marvel in gaming and I love Valves games.

Why wasn't the Witcher at least nominated for RPG of the year? Didn't have to win but to not be nominated at all? I sense some bias against the PC on SPikes part...the only reason orange box is placed on the map is because it is now a part to the console as well.

I agree...and places like Gamespot and IGN are not even mentioned once or taken into consideration as opinion even though they are the place where alot of the hardcore gamers like to go. Really a shame that some people who do not game a lot will turn on the TV and get the wrong impression of games.

:lol: I agree, BioShock won the game of the year which makes you wonder why wouldn't it win the best shooter since it was nominated for it with COD4 and Halo3 and TF2. I was wondering the exact same thing. Thank God it wasn't Halo that won though.

Other then the devs there were NO gamers in the audience...if there were you would have heard things like "Hey Chris Angel, Why don't you STFU and fly or something since you know jack sh*t about games" ..but no...you hear cheers for that loser. Gamers would at least stick to the topic..not bore me with horrible fool fighters on stage.

Another year of cauals garbage awards. SMG and Crysis were nominated for NOTHING. He mentioned SMG once and they just said that Crysis has good graphics. How many gamers here respect Sike TV and their video game awards? I think they are an insult to gaming in my opinion. It is as if it was a show about gaming awards made by none gamers. I believe bioshock won game of the year there...no way in hell does it deserve it even though it was good ...it was not the best this year.whocares9

Hell, so can Disocvery channel and the cooking channel, they can have an opinion as well, Opinion is different than their claim of something being the best. They imply it as fact and my point is that with some of the silly things they say about games I get the impression that some of these opinions are really one sided and they didn't even play all the games to judge then properly. I wouldn't want Spike TV rating my games no more or less than a car fanhave gamespot rate automobiles.

Honestly I didn't see to much PS3 hate or Wii hate as much as they just completely ignored the PC titles. I love playing games but nerds really give gaming a bad rep. I get embarrassed for them sometimes, nerds are pathetic IMO. Looks like the nerds are going in damage control over the VGA's! :lol:
