[QUOTE="Enosh88"][QUOTE="Shielder7"]Anyone else wondering how Zelda Skyward Sword even made it on the list? It didn't really win anything anyway, but they should of given the spot to a game more deserving like Gears 3 or Dead Space 2. I also think Batman or Uncharted 3 should of won.layton2012
they probably didn't want to piss off nintendo fanboys
Zelda won Best motion and Best wii game, what did gears and dead space 2 win? So basically it won 2 awards with no real competition? That's like bragging you won a soccer game because the other team forfeited .Zelda won by defult if you think other wise you're in denial.
[QUOTE="Da_lil_PimP"][QUOTE="lusitanogamer"] Well said. Skyrim should have never won, not when it's broken in one console and has soo many quest breaking bugs in all platforms.Frostbite24Game is fine on PC, the platform it's supposed to be played on. No quest breaking in 100 hours of play. I'm 120 hours into Skyrim PC with ZERO problems. People claiming all platforms run rampant with with gamebreaking bugs obviously only own a PS3.
another one with like 70 hours of play and no big bugs besides the floating animals sometimes. It is a great GOTY
[QUOTE="GeoffZak"]Then Oblivion was another impressive leap forward after Morrowind.Cherokee_Jack
Oblivion did nothing better than Morrowind other than combat (which was just BARELY better but still bad in a whole new way)
The combat was just barely better? More like miles better. In Morrowind, you have to swing your weapon 50 times at an enemy before you actually hit them, unless you were already well trained with that sort of weapon. You couldn't even choose to block when you needed to, the shield was only there to increase your defense a bit.
Oblivion was better than Morrowind in just about every way possible. The only thing better about Morrowind was that the world was larger.Oblivion made the game so much more dynamic, NPCs would actually have lives, they wouldn't stand in the same spot or walk in circles forever. NPCs also had voice overs too for conversations, despite the lack of different voice actors, it was a nice touch.
Nostalgia does seem to get the best of some people, it makes them think certain older games are better than they really are. Whenever I play Morrowind, that feeling of nostalgia is nice, but when I actually look at the game, I realize that it's really lacking when compared to Oblivion.
I know that Skyrim is better than Oblivion, but like I said, it's not as big of a leap forward as Morrowind or Oblivion were. I am disappoint. I thought Bethesda was better than that.

I'm not excusing anything, i'm saying the problems people have with the PS3 version of this game means nothing to me because I do not limit myself to playing on just one system, and the other 2 systems this game is on work just fine. You'd say that no one should buy a PS3 because Sony released it with a chance of getting YLoD rendering it inoperable. What were they thinking!? grrr. Bottom line I'm playing one of the best games this year with no problems and I'm glad Bethesda got my money. It's okay for people to like something you don't.

This has nothing to do with me or what I like or dislike; it's not a subjective issue. And yes, you're very much excusing what's going on simply because you're not having a problem that many others are. Your analogy is also extremely flawed, not all PS3s suffer from the YloD, do they? Did Sony test every PS3 and find out after so many hours every system got a YloD? And then release it anyway? EVERY copy of PS3 Skyrim suffers from this problem and they knew about it before it got kicked out the door.
I've said my peace. Skyrim does not deserve GotY at all. And there's no "Skyrim GotY for PC, ignore the PS3 version" award. No, it's a reflection of the game as a whole across the board.
Well I'm glad you cleared all of this up and spoke for everyone everywhere, if I had known who you were I wouldn't have used so many * symbols. Anyway have fun running the universe God. Can I call you God?the bbc reported on this and look, we were mentioned. :P
