Should I buy the HD remake on the ps3 of buy the Splinter Cell Collection on steam? I just got a new computer, and am wondering what will look better, the HD PS3 version, or maxed our PC version.

Post the specs of your PC.
i5 2500k processor
AMD Radeon HD 6950
G.skill 8GB DDR3 RAM
I'm sure this can easily play the splinter cell games at max settings.
The pc version is much, much harder to a point that it seems stupid. So go for the console versions.Should I buy the HD remake on the ps3 of buy the Splinter Cell Collection on steam? I just got a new computer, and am wondering what will look better, the HD PS3 version, or maxed our PC version.

Buy the games for the PC then :)
You shouldn't ask such questions if you have such a killer rig :P

I like how i did not even mention that yet you said it yourself  like i did!! This right there is proof that there is an issue with it and you want to undermine it because you have no problem with it.If you're not too good at using the controls for the PC, it'll take a while to get used to, but the PC is wayyyy worth it.
Chances are, SC HD is going to be the PS2 games, and those games look absolutely terrible in comparison, but apparently, the SC HD collection is coming in next week, wait for it to be released and make your own opinion (Since there are really none in-game shots of SC HD).

I looked at your words and thought you said "its much harder to point."
The PC version still has the advantage of higher resolutions and filters.I dubn believe the game will look much better on PC, it's a last generation game, it runs on hardware miles behind the current consoles, the PS3 should be running it as good as PC if the porting job is good enough.

The PC version still has the advantage of higher resolutions and filters. believe 1080p is a very acceptable resolution for the remake, and this will be the PS3's.A couple of points concerning Splinter Cell and Splinter Cell: Pandora's box. 1) There are unresolved issues when it comes to lighting and shadow for Splinter Cell: Pandora's box on the PC with any 8800 cards and above (I think the same applies to newer ATI cards, you will need to check that out), and since the game is highly dependent on visual clues of lighting and shadow the game can turn into a frustrating trial and error repetition. 2) The first Splinter Cell on the PC has minor issues with shadow and lighting (again with newer cards). There are at least some solutions to this issues but they are not a complete solution. 3) Steam does not sell Splinter Cell: Pandora's Box, and I dont know of anywhere you can get it for the PC. I would suggest you try out the demo's on your PC and see how much lighting/shadow issues the game has with your card before making a decision. My suggestion is if you really want to play the first Splinter Cell and Pandora's Box, go for the PS3 HD release (if there are no issues with it). However if you are willing to try the workaround for the first game and put up with the minor lighting issues (lighting issues with flood lights comes to mind) and are willing to skip the second game in favor of getting Double agent and Conviction for about the same price as the PS3 HD release then go for the Steam version.Philmon
Maybe you can't find it on steam because it's called Pandora Tomorrow.....not box :P
