Spore=Flop?

This game had alot of hype for AAA and it has an 85% review ratio on gamerankings.

its still a good score and i want to try this out though

My favourite game of all time got a 8.5 from GS and the expansion got an 8.2. :) :) :)

Anyways, I haven't played Spore yet (it's not out here yet) so I can't say whether it's a flop or not yet, although I predict it will be awesome.

Good games can be flops; you're favourite game can be a flop. But it didn't achieve its hype.

That's what I'm saying. The Hermits can't deny and I can't deny, it's a freakin flop.

Spore did not succeed expectations that Gamespot had for it. The hype was that this is GOTY material, but it turns out as a no.
That's why it flopped. Not a bad game, can still be a great game, but it flopped in expectations.

But then again, who knows if it's GOTY material or not?
Games like Zelda Twilight Princess and Mass Effect were considered flops, yet they got high praise and GOTY material nods by many sites. So I guess you never know, let's see with Spore.

This game got alot of hype i'll be honest..It was hyped perfect 10 and game of the year by many many people,it was crazy..I never saw anything special in it so i didnt understand all the hype..8.0 isnt bad by any means but its far far off from the hype it was given..

Diablo 2?

by system wars standards its a flop. it was hyped AAA here i believe but only recieved an 8 (AA).

just got ti today....its a very interesting game. not quite what i was expecting. pretty kewl though. unfortunately there seem to be a bug causing problems for ppl who want to register it online (im affected and its up on the official forums also) so i cant really comment on that side of it. apparently thats where the game really comes into its own though.

well worth a play...just dont go in with certain expectations like it being a RTS or something. it kinda is but it kinda isnt.
