Spore? IT looks like a Viva Pinata RTS and people claim this could be GOTY?

What are you guys nuts?  Please tell me why this game could be GOTY?  Am i missing something?  Bioshock, Mass Effect, and Crysis make spore look like a Atari 2600 game.  Thanks

This game is being made by Will Wright (who got GOTY for the sims)...and Soren Johnso who made Civilazation 4 (9.4)

also...Spore isnt an RTS....

In fact its so incredible that its its own Genere.

TC isn't a true gamer. Gaming is about the games, not graphics. If all you see in a video game are the graphics and nothing more, then you shouldn't be playing video games at all. Plus, if you focus on the graphics more than the gameplay or story, you won't end up having fun at all.

If you are comparing Spore to a Viva Pinata RTS, then obviously you are.  Go watch that 35 minute trailer that hummer700 posted.  I don't really do much PC gaming anymore but if there is any one game that I hope my aging system is adequate to run, its Spore.

is the fact that your World Fills up with Creatures that other players make based on their Desgn....

When you're in System Wars you have to realize that people won't believe ANY facts unless Gamespot announces it.
