Spore set to be out im September

spore is sim everything basicly

theres the cell phase

the creature phase(Plays like diablo I.E. mouse clikc move/attack)

tribal phase is like an RTS

Civ phase is like sim city

and the space phase lets you explore the entire galaxy meeting other civs. trading, conquering, becoming a god to under-developed civs

you can make anything you can think of

also: the cell phase was said to play like packman-esque

its 2d and you go around collecting green dots (food) and stuff

PC and DS only currently, likely to change in the future, but the console versions are supposed to be different than on the PC, because the game requires an internet connection to play.

their making it different from the PC version though, like what happened with the Sims.

Well then I will probably get it on PC since it will most likely be the best out of the bunch.

The PC is shaping up to have the best lineup this year, by far. While I'm looking forward to MGS4, GTAIV, and Gears 2(if it happens), the PC will get the majority of my attention with Starcraft, Spore, Dragon Age, Stalker CS, Warhammer, and many others including Sins of the Solar Empire, one of the best games to come out in ages.

They got a lot of outside devs. to work on it....they even got the head civ. 4 dev to help with the galaxy and civilazation stages.
